This cozy and beautifully designed home is in a perfect location in Paonia. It’s just a few minutes from restaurants, the grocery store, and the park. The wraparound deck is perfect to enjoy your morning coffee or glass of wine in the evening. The train only comes by in the morning and evening and is actually quite charming. The home has everything you need and Julie is accommodating and responsive. We loved our stay!

So glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciated both the home and the walkable location. We loved hosting you and hope you’ll be back to see us again. Safe travels!
The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking complete meals and there was a variety of methods for making coffee. The house was clean and cozy and the host was quick to respond to my inquiries. A great place to stay!

So glad you had a wonderful stay! Thank you for being a great guest.
Come back anytime!
We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. The house had every amenity for guests - it was so thoughtfully planned. It was also spotlessly clean and modern. All the little details were thought of, from hooks in the bathroom to fans in the bedroom. The shower is a bit tight if you are a larger guest, but the bathroom was cute and had a washer and dryer. The upstairs loft was a great space too. The location is next to the railroad track but we only heard two trains in four days, so it wasn't bothersome. It's within easy walking distance to town, too. It was so quiet and the little patios were shaded and nice to sit on as well. Recommend!

Wonderful guests who took great care of the place. A pleasure to host And welcome back anytime. Thank you!
We were here for our daughter’s wedding and fell in love with the town. What a beautiful home, we were beyond impressed with the accommodations. Julie & Marc gave us the 411 on everything happening in town, along with great recommendations for restaurants and trails to take our dogs for a hike. We will be visiting again!

This was the best VRBO by far that we have ever stayed in! When we walked into the living room/kitchen - it was so cozy!! The kitchen had all the tools needed to prepare a feast. We enjoyed our time sitting in front of the fireplace watching movies in the evening. The bathroom was spotless and the bed was comfy. This is definitely a place we would like to stay in again!! :)

The Railroad Retreat was perfect for us. Comfy beds and every amenity you could want in a B&B. The clean, modern design and interior spaces are stunning. The best of the package are the hosts! Julie and Marc are warm, welcoming and so easy to communicate with. We got the local lowdown on what to do and where to eat in beautiful Paonia. We'll be back for sure.

Julie did an extraordinary job of anticipating all the needs of visiting guests. From the extras in the kitchen equipment to the books and games to the smart tv were all available as wanted, or needed. The a/c worked great and the outside temps were over 90 degrees.I've stayed in many places and this one definitely deserves 5 stars.

Gail and Charlie, thank you so much for your kind words. We’re so happy you were comfortable and had a great time in your home away from home. It was a joy to host you both and we hope to see you again sooner rather than later! Safe travels until next time. - Julie
Wonderful place! Easy walk to downtown. Driveway fits two cars. Place was very clean and the attention to detail by the owners is impeccable. There was a large water filter in the fridge, ice was made when we arrived, personalized note welcoming us, a great selection of tea and coffee, a reusable bag to borrow for shopping and common condiments in the fridge. We had great communication with the owners throughout. The train did come by both nights we stayed but ear plugs were provided. Would definitely stay here again.
