I was a little nervous to book with no prior reviews, but don't be!Booking was easy and Ryan is a very responsive host. The home is up a long driveway on top of a hill. Ryan's cottage was perfectly clean and we had everything we needed. He even left us a basket of snacks! The beds were comfortable. It was cool in the home with windows open, we did not need the AC, and it warmed up quickly when we had an unexpected cold day. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
Our family enjoyed our stay. We reached out to the property manager with a question and got an immediate response which was greatly appreciated. The house had plenty of space for our family of 4 and it was awesome to be able to travel with our dog. Kiddos enjoyed playing in the woods outside the home. We had some unlucky weather but were able to make the best of the couple days of sunshine.Quick 10-15 min drive to Boothbay where we enjoyed the Botanical Gardens/Trolls, Dolphin Mini Golf and walking around the shops and local eateries. One suggestion is for there to be ice trays available since the ice maker in fridge wasn’t working.

Some Caveats
It’s a nice location. It’s more in the woods than on the water. The property is listed as 3br, it’s really 2br plus a loft. There isn’t a lot of privacy between the rooms, the doors have slats in them and you can hear a lot from room to room. This isn’t an issue if traveling with family or non-snorers.The spiral stairs and loft aren’t ideal for younger kids, the living room and deck are nice.
The cottage is in a beautiful location, surrounded by pine trees and with a view of the water. It has easy access to the towns of Boothbay and Damariscotta and the surrounding area. The home is comfortable for lounging, has a lovely deck with outside seating, floor to ceiling windows and is well-equipped. Check in was easy and Ryan was attentive and helpful.
