About this property

Gather for a family-friendly vacation in this 5 bedroom, 5.5 bath home with wonderful views over Sapphire Valley. The property sits on 3+ acres of landscaped outdoor space and the house is 4,500 square feet in size, which includes newly built guest suite and recently renovated indoor/outdoor space. All rooms have wonderful views and access to the porches and private gazebo. A rock waterfall feature provides peaceful background noise while enjoying the outside and built in fire-pit for evenings outside. Enjoy nearby hikes, waterfalls, canoeing, horseback riding, as well as wonderful shopping and restaurants in nearby Cashiers, Highlands & Toxaway.
The main floor living room with stone fireplace and vaulted ceiling opens to a front deck as well as the kitchen and dining room. The home has a collapsible door system that opens the main living area to the outdoor patio for open air living.
The main level features the master bedroom (king bed) to one side of the house and on the other side of the house, a guest room (full over queen bunk bed) and large second guest room (king bed). All of the bedrooms have spectacular views and are en-suite.
A cozy family room with large tv and additional bedroom (two queen beds) and full bath are on the lower level and just a short walk to the outdoor gazebo with sprawling views across the valley. A new Hot Springs five person hot tub is outside on the deck with views of the night sky and valley.
Kitchen is well equipped (dishes, utensils, steak/cooking knives, baking ware, serving ware, toaster, Keurig, microwave). 2 car garage via covered walkway to the house. New washer and dryer is on the first floor off of the master suite. Recently refreshed with additional furniture, including outdoor seating, dining room, living room and master bedroom.
There is a zip-line, cornhole, board games, game table, puzzles, wifi enabled smart TV's, basketball hoop, and other fun activities to keep the kids entertained. The home is also equipped with fiber-optic internet to ensure fast connections for working remote.
The Cashiers Crossroads are less than 10 minutes and Ingles grocery store is about 7 minutes from the house. Enjoy the pleasant summer weather in peace and tranquility while still being close to town!
Gated community. 4+ parking spots at the house.

About the host
Hosted by Bradford Donaldson
Lauren and I purchased the home in 2020 and began a renovation journey to build our getaway from our home in Atlanta. At the time of purchase the property had years of neglect but we saw such immense opportunity with the property that excited us for what it could be. This included removing the entire front of the home and repairing the failing supports, replacing thousands of square feet of deck, making the living space more livable, redoing flooring, painting inside and out, building the guest suite above the garage, and upgrading the appliances and different fixtures. Upon completing the renovation we decided we would like to share it with others on a limited basis, primarily friends and family, as we decorated it for folks to take care of and enjoy versus high volume renting.
Why they chose this property
We wanted to be close the the Country Club of Sapphire Valley, a short drive to town and grocery, but within a few hours of being back home in Atlanta. This home checked all the boxes and had such an amazing property with how it is private with how it is off of the street, elevated with views, and manicured landscape that is truly differentiated.
What makes this property unique
The views are amazing, but the overall property is what differentiates it. There are walking paths, beautiful masonry for the water feature, the previous owner spent significant time and resources on developing a landscape that stands out. The indoor outdoor space creates the ability to truly enjoy the outdoors and wonderful weather, and the fireplace and outdoor built in heaters create three seasons of comfortable outdoor fun.
