Experience the sights and sounds of California’s North Coast from the comfort of our vacation home. Breathtaking views of the rugged coastline and Battery Point Lighthouse are enjoyed from the upstairs observation room & upstairs bedroom. The sounds of barking sea lions, crashing waves, soothing surf and fog horn will soothe and delight you.

Spaciously designed and comfortably furnished, our two story vacation home features an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, a large combination kitchen/living area, two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, two bathrooms, and an observation room. A freestanding gas fireplace in the living room adds to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Conveniently located one-half block from easy beach access, a spiral stairway takes you to a picturesque beach to explore tide pools and beachcomb. Historic Battery Point Lighthouse, a few blocks away (from the beach or the street), is accessible during low tide and has tours available, giving you a rare glimpse into the daily operation and history of an active lighthouse.

The Lighthouse View Vacation Home is an ideal home base to explore California's North Coast, Redwood National and State Parks, the Smith River National Recreation Area, and other scenic wonders in this beautiful area. Or, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the view.

The view of the beach, lighthouse and ocean was picturesque and it was just a short 2 minute walk to the beach access stairwell. Nice quiet neighborhood, and the house was clean, and check in, check out process was seamless. I would definitely stay here again!

The house was sparkling clean when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked. Beds are comfy. The viewing room is the best. Could set up there all day, hard to tear ourselves to go to the beach. Our second time staying there and will be back.

This house was the perfect location. We loved being so close to the ocean to just walk over whenever we had a few spare minutes. And everything in town was 5 minutes or less away. We appreciated all the information about the area and used a lot of it for recommendations on restaurants, coffee hikes, and ocean viewing. The binoculars in the upstairs sun porch were great- we took them with us to a recommended viewing spot up the road and were able to see a bunch of sea lions sunbathing.

Lighthouse view and beach access

Great location with view of light house and a short walk to the beach. Convenient to Redwood NP w/some amazing trails and scenery. House has a small sunroom off of the master bedroom upstairs that was unexpected and very comfy for viewing the ocean, lighthouse, and reading a good book (to be fair, the sunroom may have been in the listing and pics, I just overlooked it). The living room was also cozy and the kitchen was well equipped. Was close to several nice little eateries, especially Seafront Baking Co.

Amazing beach view

The whole place was amazing! The views and the scenery were amazing! Also how close we were to the beach and the light house were so amazing! Highly recommend staying here! My family and I would stay here forever if we could!

Location, location, location!

First off, Beth could not have been any easier to work with! Secondly, this place is the perfect location - walk to SeaQuake Brewing, Pebble Beach, Battery Point Lighthouse. Leisurely, enjoy you coffee while taking in ocean views. The property has everything you could need. Highly recommend!!

I loved the location of this place. It has a wonderful view of the ocean and lighthouse! A perfect place for our visit to the Redwoods. I would love to stay here again.

Redwoods trip

Steps from the beach and short drives to see the redwoods. The house had everything we needed and the room off the upstairs was the prize. When we came back to the house to relax that is where we went. Views of the ocean and lighthouse.

The Best Getaway

Everything was perfect. The house is so clean and tidy. The upstairs lookout is much fun with the great view of the lighthouse and the waves crashing on the rocks. The beach is so close. The whole house is well equipped with all you need especially in the kitchen. The owners were great with timely communications such as access and codes. We certainly would like to return.

Great ocean view

We had a great time and was very close to the beach. Unfortunately the weathere completely cooperate so we were only able to walk on the beach a few times but the bedrooms and kitchen were great. We got soaked one day at the redwoods so really utilized the heater and spent most of our time up in tbe bedroom and sunroom, looking at the waves and lighthouse. Would definitely stay again

Beautiful views

The house is cozy and very clean. The view of the lighthouse and ocean didn’t disappoint. Great beach for rock hunting and wandering(we had a sea lion join us)! Very close to grocery and activities with a fabulous sand beach 5 minutes away. A perfect location for the tree lovers as well as the water lovers!

I Saw the Light(house)

The Lighthouse View Cottage was a wonderful place for us to use as a base for our redwood explorations. It provided breathtaking views of the wild surf that hit Northern CA the week we visited. It also came with a great soundtrack of waves and seabirds, especially from the second floor sitting room that overlooks the beach. The Cottage is well equipped and comfortable, within walking distance of the beach, the lighthouse, a local brew pub, and other places. We would happily stay there again.

This house was perfect for our Crescent City stay. Clean, comfy, and yes, the upstairs view of the ocean and lighthouse was special. If you arrive during inclement weather there is a carport connected to the house so you can stay dry. Hiking in the redwoods is what we wanted and we were not disappointed. Thank you Beth.

Wonderful Home!

Would I stay here again? Absolutely!! We spent 7 days exploring Northern California and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! It doesn't get any better than a view of a working lighthouse from the upstairs bedroom! Spotless clean, conveniently close to the beach and Redwood NP (15 minutes from the front door) and situated in a very quiet neighborhood. The home is meticulously cared for and the homeowner kept in touch via email. Thank you for sharing your property with us. We will recommend this property to anyone interested in visiting Crescent City.

Great getaway but wished I'd known a few things first.

Great things about our stay 1. Location was great as far as things to do. Beautiful country with great views! 2. Owner was very kind and helpful 3. Place was clean and well kept for the area 4. Great for the price Cons. 1. Like others stated, there were ants everywhere in the kitchen 2. The clean up list at the end of your trip was very long. From cleaning sinks, toilet, tubs to making sure everything was vacuumed and laundry was all washed was a bit much for a vrbo in my opinion I've never stayed in one with such a long list and would have gladly paid a bigger cleaning fee for the 2 hour clean up in took the night before because we had to leave very early in the morning. 3. Location of this place is excellent as far as things to do, but the town is very ghetto and has many Gypsy/homeless people running everywhere. Pretty grungy location as far as that goes. 4. The outside door does not have a lock it has a key, just don't lock yourself out, not fun. 5. Last thing was there wasn't a lock on the master bedroom door, and the second bedroom doesn't have a door either it's just upstairs. So if you've got a few people going and need to get dressed and undressed for the beach and shower and use the bathrooms after a long day at the beaches, it got pretty annoying and didn't give us any privacy from the kids whatsoever. In all our trip was very fun and the stay was fine, but I do think that I wish I knew a few of these details before we booked our trip. Thanks for a great stay!

Nice home steps away from Third Street beach access and the Battery Point Lighthouse. Home was very clean and is exceptionally well stocked with anything you might need. The host is friendly and easy to communicate with. As others have already mentioned, the ocean & light house views from the upstairs room are excellent. Overall, a great home base for exploring the areas around Crescent City. We would gladly return!
