The Sonoma Cottage is the perfect getaway spot for families or for couples who enjoy traveling together. There are two spacious bedrooms, one on the upper level, and one on the lower level of the house. Each bedroom features a king bed, fireplace, jetted spa tub, and private bath. Additionally, one couch in the comfortable living room folds out to sleep two people.
The fully furnished living room will be your gathering place to enjoy the TV, fireplace, upright piano, and cozy seating. The full kitchen is equipped for cooking meals to be enjoyed around the dining room table that seats up to eight people. Savor an outdoor meal on the cottage patio. Take a short walk over to the Inn at Occidental to enjoy the courtyard garden and veranda with other guests, or enjoy your private oasis at the cottage. Guests staying at the Sonoma Cottage are able to utilize the amenities of the inn, yet are able to have ample time to relax in their own space.

About the host
Your host
Matthew and Victoria Meblin became the owners of the Inn at Occidental in March 2024. Owning an inn was a longtime dream for the Meblins, and they are embracing their new role in the idyllic community of Occidental. The inn continues to be unique and charming as the Meblins have integrated a new wine bar in the inn's living room as well as a lovely deck in the courtyard for live music performances as well as celebrations. Matthew and Victoria look forward to creating even more delightful experiences for guests.
Why they chose this property
The Inn at Occidental is in an ideal location in the tiny town of Occidental to enjoy many features of Sonoma County. The coastline is a short drive away. Redwoods surround the neighborhood and feature prominently in the inn's views. Many wonderful Sonoma County wineries are located within a 10 - 15 mile radius. There are great restaurants and shops just steps away on Main Street. Many outdoor activities such as hiking, golf, kayaking, ziplining, and so much more are easily accessible from the inn.
