Great location and beautiful outdoor space but not worth the price
This apartment is in a great part of town, super accessible to lots of bars and restaurants. The owner was incredibly accommodating with our travel dates which was very much appreciated. Check in was easy with their property manager, Dolly who is just lovely. Dolly speaks Italian and Spanish so English-only speakers may have a difficult time with Dolly’s initial tour and house information. The apartment is quite large (lots of room to spread out) and outdoor spaces are excellent, particularly the rooftop. Considering the price tag of this listing, though, the stay was a bit of a miss for us. The bedding was very poor and the towels were worn and old. We were given 1 towel each for a 6-night stay which was not ideal. The master bath had a pretty strong and unpleasant sewage smell throughout the stay. The owner also left an aggressive note threatening to charge 200€ if the air conditioning units were left on during the day which also was not ideal considering it was over 90 degrees during our time in Rome. This property has the potential to be well worth the splurge but as-is, it’s not quite there yet unfortunately. I don’t think we’d be back nor recommend to friends unless some necessary comfort upgrades are met.

Fantastic Location!
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely apartment! The location is absolutely perfect! It's close to the major historical sights, as well as great food and shopping. In addition, the outdoor patio and terraces are fantastic! When you walk out of the apartment building and look to your right, you have a magnificent view of the Castel Sant' Angelo. Phoebe was a very gracious host, who welcomed us with wine and a delicious lemon cake, which we greatly appreciated after a long train ride. She also provided guide books on what to see and do and a list of favorite restaurants, all of which we enjoyed. As other reviews have mentioned, it is a home, not just a rental property. That it's lived in was never an issue. It created a feeling of being home, which a hotel or "sterile" rental property can never duplicate. Thank you, Phoebe, for a delightful stay!

Location, Location, Location…
We enjoyed are stay in Rome. This flat is in a great location and is large. The outdoor space was nice, but we did not spend much time outside due to the heat. As for the bedroom set up, there are two rooms and a loft, so it was perfect for a family of four, if you had more people the bedding would be a stretch. We stayed in several VBRO’s across Europe and every place is different, some host keep it sparse and you feel it was met for travelers but in this case it felt more like you were staying in someone’s home. The closets are full of clothing and you are digging to find things like coffee and other items in the kitchen. It definitely felt lived in. I would still stay there again as the host Amy was helpful in recommending places to go and setting up transportation when it was time to leave, which was appreciated.

Great stay, great host
Very large for a Rome apartment, close to most sites and only a 8-10min car ride to all sites to see.

Great location
Great location in center of Rome with easy access to attractions and restaurants. Host was very kind and informative. Host lives in apartment and personal belongings are present. The property description was somewhat misleading as there are two full bedrooms versus four described. The dryer and jacuzzi tub didn’t work.

I’m an American-Italian living in Rome and I am a crazy food person! As a chef I love to create that perfect bite that excites & teases the palette, my mission is to combine classic Italian ingredients while bringing a bit of fun, fusion and whimsy to the plate. Eating is an adventure best enjoyed when shared amongst new friends. I present my personal style through my quirky artful food and table presentations.
