A fun and relaxing weekend getaway at this quiet, renovated farmhouse to attend the annual Brass Band Festival in Gettysburg! The property has all the charm of a classic farmhouse with modern renovations inside and out. Situated among acres of open farmland, the property is a perfect location for a restful retreat. Ample room for family and friends to enjoy spending time together with three comfortable bedrooms upstairs, clean and modern bathroom facilities, and spacious kitchen, dining room, and living room downstairs. Anyone looking to experience the novelty and charm of a farmhouse coupled with all the comfort of new furnishings and modern amenities should check out 'Homestead Haven'... we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The badThere is no information about the place when you get there, there is no WiFi, tv does not work, mold in the coffee maker from old coffee groundsThe GoodQuiet location, lots of fireflies, the sunsets are awesome and everything is new. Plenty of AC to stay cool on hot nightsThe spooky The place is haunted. Something kept touching us on the arm and leg in the middle bedroom as we slept.Thankyou for letting us stay there
Everything was near brand new. Washer and dryer were fantastic. Beds comfortable. Be aware there is no dishwasher but was no problem. Was a little musty near the back staircase in the heat of the day. Worked with the mngt company and owner and a sibling came out to help resolve. Expect small delay getting help with issues, the sibling nearby runs a farm and works hard! They were great people!WiFi worked fine for us. Make sure to use the documentation given by the mngt company. Password was on their site. Also - to the previous reviewer in July 2025…sorry those coffee grounds might have been my fault. We stayed there shortly before you. Oops!

The property itself is wonderful. And have we not run into the issues we had I would definitely list this as a place I want to return to. However, when we initially checked in, we were given the wrong house code and had to call the emergency number in order to get someone to give us the correct number to get in. The Internet was supposedly down the whole time we were gone. This may actually have Ben not the owner’s fault, but it took quite some time for us to get a hold of anybody to assist us. And the last two days we were there they were severe issues with the plumbing that they said had been resolved but the morning we were getting ready to leave And even that night the issue began to start again. It took us more than three hours to get a hold of someone to help us with the plumbing issue which resulted in us having to use gas station or store bathrooms in order to go to the bathroom.
We enjoyed our stay. The home was built in the 1860's and had "The Little House On The Prairie" feel with the farmer across the street tending to his crops with horse drawn farm equipment. The home was tastefully updated. It was very close to the battlefields and a short drive to the historic downtown. The only issue we had was the mini split ac/heat units in the dining room and kitchen actually are controlled by a thermostat in the upstairs back bedroom. I would stay here again!
