Kiwi Berry Farmette, Gardens, Seasonal Pool & Guest Suite at Wild Juniper Farm!

If you enjoy the beauty of rural Gettysburg but want to be conveniently located to the Historic Battlefield sites including Little Round Top our guest suite may be the perfect farm stay, getaway for you. With over 1,400 square feet, the nicely appointed guest suite offers comfortable sleeping accommodations for up to 6 people.
Our base rate is priced right for 2 guests. Then an affordable up-charge for each additional guest with a maximum of 6. Please no more than 6 guests! No charge for kids under 2.
Most visitors enjoy the scenic views, walks through the gardens or taking in a leisurely stroll after a day full of touring. Others come less for the history and more for outdoor activities like biking through the park and quite farm roads that surround over 5,000+ acres of the Gettysburg Military Park.
The main bedroom (see photos) has an oversize queen (firm) bed, the second bedroom has two twin beds and an additional queen size Murphy bed in a semi-private area (see photo) that is ideal for kids or the grand kids.
The inground saltwater pool has been installed and will open in May. Details and some pictures have been uploaded. Guests are required to sign our general liability waiver prior to using the pool.
Owners, Jeff & Kathy Glahn live on site as they manage a kiwi vines and gardens. Visitors have a private entrance and outdoor sitting area to make your farm stay a perfect getaway.

GUEST ACCESS:
After the final payment has been received, you will be provided with the key access code to the unit. Parking is available for up to 2 cars.

POOL USE:
Our pool is available to use for reserved guests only. The pool is open typically mid-May and closed in late September depending on the weather. Pool hours will vary, but during the months of June-August the pool will be available from 11 am - 8 pm.
This is the owner's private pool and located directly behind the house.
-No lifeguard, swim at your own risk.
-Absolutely no diving.
-Towels and lounge chairs are available.
-No glass containers can be used in the pool area.
-All guests are required to sign a liability release prior to using the pool.

Kiwi Farms

We absolutely loved staying here. Out hosts we so hospitable and friendly. Would definitely recommend. The listing showed a kitchen but it was only a refrigerator and microwave which was not a big deal for us. Thanks Kathy and Jeff!!

Beautiful Home, Excellent Location!

This was the perfect place for my family to spend our yearly trip to Gettysburg. The property is beautiful, Kathy and Jeff were awesome hosts and we were only a couple of miles from everything our favorite vacation spot has to offer. Hope to see you again next year.

3 Retired Navy Officers stayed at Wild Juniper Farm to tour Gettysburg Battlefield by bicycle

Great property - highly recommend - only a mile or so from Gettysburg Battlefield park. We stayed 3 nights and toured the battlefield via bicycle. Swam in the pool every evening after the ride - wonderful trip. Accomodations very comfortable.

Wonderful Property Excellent Location

This was our sixth annual Gettysburg getaway with sisters and friends. First time staying at the property and it was exactly as it was described. The location was amazing central to everything. Our hosts were fantastic. We got to sample lots of goodies. Homemade jams and jellies and salsa ….my favorite Would absolutely recommend and return!!!

Lovely stay

Kathy and Jeff are wonderful hosts. Their apartment is very tastefully decorated and comfortable. It's very clean. The location is awesome, too. It's just a few minutes away from the Gettysburg Welcome and Visitor Center. We highly recommend this rental!

Perfect!

Besides being perfectly located to Gettysburg attractions, the property is simply beautiful. Inside the suite was very clean with everything you needed. The property is full of flowers, birds, and peaceful. Bonus was the pool to unwind and cool off. Kathy and Jeff were great hosts! We hope to visit again :) If I could rate our stay higher than a 5 star rating, I would!

Awesome accommodations near Gettysburg historical sites

Kathy and Jeff offer a very safe, clean and friendly accommodations. Very close to all of the historical sites and visitor center. The property is amazing with gardens and Kiwi Berry vines at Wild Juniper Farm. The two bedroom with bed, bath and living area are spacious and well pointed for a family of six or 2-3 couples. My 13 year old Son, friend and I enjoyed our stay.

Our stay in Gettysburg was perfect, Kathy has thought of everything to make her guests comfortable. Her Garden is so lovely, coffee or tea in morning in the garden barefoot is a must! Our stay was so comfortable 5 stars is not enough!

Well-appointed accommodations

Wild Juniper Farm is an idyll conveniently close to Gettysburg but peacefully rural. Kathy is a wonderful hostess, the space is lovingly cared for, and the jams she makes are delicious. We had a great stay. One note-this is a lower level so there are steps that descend to the entry and you can, at times, hear footsteps from the floor above.

So comfortable for our young family of five!

We stayed over the thanksgiving holiday with our "three under three"... what a great experience! Kathy is so hospitable, the place is immaculate, very well appointed and super clean! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and even went for a few brisk walks through the property. #1 dog, Guiness was a hit with our kids and we loved to visit each day. We will certainly stay again next time we are in the area!

Perfect choice for our girls getaway!

Kathy and Jeff's place is the perfect spot for visiting Gettysburg and the surrounding area. Kathy is very welcoming and makes sure that you have everything you need. The property is beautiful and just a short distance to the battlefield and the town of Gettysburg. The suite is beautiful and was perfect for the four of us. Gettysburg Weekend

We had a great stay at Kathy and Jeff's Kiwi Berry Farmette. The location was secluded, yet very close to everything. The hosts were very gracious and accommodating. It was very nice to feel like you were far out in the country, but still be close to all the historical sites. The accommodations were very clean and spacious. If there was any downside, it was that any noise or movement from the main floor was transferred directly to the basement apartment.

Wonderful

Great stay, excellent accomodations, very close to Gettysburg National Military Park, yet not in busy town but on a peaceful mini farm. Kathy cannot do enough for you. Lots of entertainment right in the suite - books, mags, DVDs, GNMP info, pool table. Furniture comfortable to sit in and sleep on. Extremely clean. We hope to return some day.

A fantastic long weekend!

My friend and I stayed at the Kiwi Berry Farmette suite this past weekend and had a wonderful time. The apartment was clean, we had everything we needed, and the location was perfect. Kathy and Jeff were incredibly welcoming. Each night we relaxed in the pool and felt like we were spending time with friends we hadn't seen in a few years. Boots was sweet, including stopping by on our final day to say goodbye. Make sure you try the jam. I highly recommend the blueberry lavender. You won't be disappointed!

Reunion Bound

We chose this place as a home base close to a family reunion site, and this was our first experience with VRBO. It was just marvelous!! Kathy and Jeff are the best hosts ever and they have thought of everything for this suite, including a pool table! Such a historically significant location, in view of Big and Little Round Tops, with much to see and do in Gettysburg! The grounds are beautiful and of such agricultural interest! I'm going to reserve the spot for our next year's reunion! What a find!

Beautiful retreat

The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The suite was beautifully furnished and laid out. All cupboards in the kitchenette and bath were soft closing. Bathroom storage was beyond anything we anticipated. Many items (soaps, dental floss, lotions, etc.) were provided so, if you forgot anything, it was readily available. There are two outside seating areas for vacationers to enjoy the gardens. The only downside to our stay was that the queen mattress was very firm - much firmer than we were used to. If ever we are in Gettysburg again, we will definitely return.

Kiwi farm stay Gettysburg

My wife and I opted to stay at a Kiwi farm in Gettysburg for a 5-day vacation. We were met by our two gracious hosts (Kathy & Jeff). The farm is beautiful and very well kept. There is a Kiwi orchard on the farm. Kathy also grows fig trees and various berries and used the fruit to make homemade jams that are absolutely delicious. There is a nice salt water pool available for swimming. The VRBO rentals is located under the main house, and has two bedrooms with a Murphy bed. It is well equipped with many appliances and comforts of home (even includes a bumper pool table. It was very comfortable staying there, and located in a quiet spot just outside of tone (near Little Roundtop). I can say that this was among the best VRBO locations that I have used, and we thank Kathy and Jeff for being so friendly and accommodating. We will be going back again. I would highly recommend you to try this location on a Gettysburg visit!

Picture Perfect Cozy Country Stay

Gettysburg is an iconic part of our country's history, particularly unique because of the sprawling location of the park grounds. Known landmarks and battle grounds intermingle with the downtown area, homes and farms, and one has the feeling of always being on historic premises. Wild Juniper Farm is located five minutes from the Visitor's Center and yet, it is removed and secluded. The road is dotted with charming homes and long driveways, lots of open sky and picture postcard vistas. The Farm rental residence is located downstairs of the main house with a private, easy entrance. Every little thing that could accent a beautiful home and garden has been thought of - quaint sitting areas outside near the fruit orchard, a working garden with all manner of plants and perfect photo spots. Inside, everything is welcoming and well-appointed. Artwork, bedding, even light cooking accessories are top notch, not some haphazard thrift store collection. This is a home, and one feels upon entering as if they are a long-awaited friend come home. I visited with my husband, twenty-something nephew and two sisters. And while it was cozy with one bathroom, we were fine for two nights. Our hosts met us upon arrival, offered to light the outdoor fire and even fetched a crockpot for me when I indicated that I had hoped to cook a meal. They were open and friendly, and we truly did feel among friends. If we find ourselves back in that part of the country again, we will definitely seek to stay at Wild Juniper Farm!

Owners, Jeff and Kathy Glahn relocated to Gettysburg in 1998 and soon after Kathy started a hardy kiwi vineyard on the land. In 2012 we decided to 'simplify' our life and built a home on the site. We are hooked on this location for it's rural beauty and easy access to the park, downtown Gettysburg and other visitor attractions. Guests are welcome to tour the gardens (when in season) and perhaps get a few garden tips from the head gardener herself.

Why they chose this property

This Hospital Road property was originally part of the George Bushman Farm which served as the Twelfth Corps Civil War Hospital. This area continues to remain somewhat rural with acres of gentle hills and less travel country roads perfect for biking.
To either start or end your day, enjoy relaxing outside and take in the view of Big and Little Roundtop.

What makes this property unique

Sunrise to sunset, our home overlooks both Big and Little Roundtop one of the most frequently visited historic sites in Gettysburg. Little Roundtop is just a mile walk from the property.
Our guests enjoy the relaxing spaciousness of our guest suite and as many say "this is a perfect location". Check out all the reviews!
Spring, summer or fall, take a break and relax outside to enjoy the gardens humming with activity. You can easily spot many hummingbirds whizzing by or the butterflies floating among the flowers.
