We booked this house for our ASV week. It was perfect for our needs: super close and convenient to the park (closer than others who booked their houses well in advance) to go back and forth. Ductless ac units and tvs in every room for prime relaxation. We wound up not taking our dog but the entire yard is fully fenced! Set back from the road offered top notch privacy and quiet after long days at the field. We left a bag behind and the owners were gracious and will ship to us.Definitely recommend for small families!

Everything at the Forest Gem was great, just outside the town of Oneonta making it an easy commute to get to things. We were here for the Cooperstown All Star Village baseball tournament. The towels were soft and large and were so nice. Our only real complaint would be the beds. They were not the best quality which made them not the most comfortable things to sleep on. All in all this was a great little place and would stay here again.

The house was quite welcoming and clean and the vibe inside was very warm and cozy. It’s perfectly placed close enough to town to be convenient (PLEASE eat at Sloan’s NY Grill if you get a chance and get the prime rib or a steak, SO delicious) but far enough from town where you feel like you’ve got your own space to breathe and to enjoy privacy. We used it as a base to visit colleges with our older son who is a senior in high school. We were able to tour Oneonta, UAlbany and Binghamton in 3 days using this as a home. We mostly slept there (the beds and the couch were quite comfortable) but we also enjoyed winding down in the evenings after our college tours … watching old episodes of Seinfeld and just relaxing in the living room which had ample seating for a family of 4 and a big tv. The local pizza was also yummy and that’s quite a compliment as we are from Long Island and, therefore, pizza snobs for better or for worse. It snowed pretty consistently during our visit but the host was absolutely amazing about plowing and salting the driveway so we never had trouble getting in or out of the property to keep our appointments at the various schools. If our son decides to attend Oneonta, we would love to stay again while moving him in or out of the dorms or whenever parents and families were invited to visit. This is a great rental!

Thank you so much for the incredibly thoughtful review! We’re so happy the home was a comfortable and relaxing base for your college visits and that you enjoyed your stay despite the snowy weather. It was truly a pleasure hosting your family, and we’d absolutely love to welcome you back again in the future if your son decides on Oneonta. Wishing him the very best with this exciting next chapter!
