Beautiful home, but the dehumidifier in lower level should be piped directly to a floor drain. It needed to be emptied twice a day to keep musty smell out. We had a wonderful vacation and would rent again in the future.

We had a great time. Used the boats everyday to go fishing. The fire pit was great and needed to be on level ground. You end up placing chairs on a hill. The last step before going onto the dock is sketchy. Another step would be helpful.Renters pay a nice penny to stay there. Having it stocked with food essentials would help. Coffee, condiments, even oil would go a long way.

It was a perfect set up for several couples. The beds are a bit small (mostly full size) but we knew that when we booked it. The view is beautiful and the lake was so clear! We even went for a September swim. There is some work on the property being done like a few door trims, but it was still beautiful. To save you time, bring coffee and anything else you might want. Salt and pepper was the only on site options. There is a coffee maker but no coffee and no oils of any kind for cooking. Also, bring your own firewood. We were about 16 minutes to stores so we made it work. The sauna was used and loved. A lot of stairs if anyone might have issues with that. Would definitely go back!

Bug sprayed in lower bedroom by property manager while we were checking in. The strong smell prevented sleeping in the bedroom. Boats filled with water. Unusable. Outdoor furniture cushions in bad shape. Dock railings unsafe. Deck had raised nails unsafe . Upper deck with grill unsafe. No working fireplaces . Had to ask for outdoor firewood. Beautiful floor to ceiling windows dirty. Property manager wouldn’t bring toilet paper/ paper towel / dish soap to us when we ran out . Said she lived too far. We had to buy them.

Perfect location. House was in need of repairs; sliding doors were missing screens.

Beautiful outside. Two steps were missing from the stairway leading to the dock so I had to put some logs together so I could get down and up. Sliding doors were either missing screens or the screens didn't close completely, probably how a bat got into the house. Kitchen was beautiful. Upstairs bed smelled like sweat. Yard was unkept.

Perfect get away

Our group of 6 people -3 couples, go to Upper peninsula or North Wisconsin every year. We never stayed in the same house for different reasons. This place we will consider for our next year vacation. The house is super clean and comfortable. The view from living room is breathtaking. The kitchen is very well organized with all necessary pots, pans and utensils. Fishing was fun. The single negative thing is that only one bedroom has queen size bed. All other 3 bedrooms have full size beds which is not big enough to sleep for two people, at least for people like us - not yang and skinny any more. It didn't spoiled our perfect get away. We'll be coming back. Thank you!

WOW!

I, along with 9 friends, rented this property for my 30th birthday. The property was spotless upon our arrival. It is a great spot for entertaining as there are 3 levels that are fully loaded with furniture, a bar downstairs, as well as a pool table. The location was absolutely beautiful. The water was crystal clear and very warm (it was 90+ all week). The lake bottom is covered in rocks right off of the dock so I'd recommend bringing flip flops or water shoes if you plan on swimming. There isn't any AC in the house but you are provided with fans. Honestly only the two rooms on the top floor ran warm. The house came with a ton of firewood, propane for the grill, and also had an awesome wood burning grill pit which was perfect for cooking for 10 people at once. Overall, this property is highly recommended for a getaway with friends. Also forgot to mention, we rented a pontoon for 12 hours for $100 from people on the lake. I live right outside of Chicago and I could not believe the price!

Great ski weekend getaway

beautiful location and home. Perfect for 2 families with teens. Pool table and sauna was a hit! 1 issue when we arrived was the ice in the driveway. When we called the property manager, she arrived quickly and put down sand and salt. Would encourage the property owner to locate a TV in the basement instead of the bedrooms. We plan to book this property in the future.

Great ski trip!

This property worked great for our trip to Ski Brule. The views over the lake were beautiful and there was plenty of room for everyone. It was a little tough to find but our contact was responsive and got us on the right track. It looked like there might have been some maintenance in process which was not a big deal. Overall it was a beautiful property and would definitely recommend it!

Weekend with family

Online pictures do not do this property justice. The kitchen has been remodeled & the flooring in the kitchen and great room was updated too. The view of the lake was amazing! My family skied at Brule during the day and then warmed up by the fireplace and enjoyed the view when we returned. It’s plenty of space (3 levels) for 8- 10 people. Bathrooms are outdated but property was very clean and maintained. The only problem we had was with the security system. We set off the smoke alarms cooking pizzas and could not disable or reset the alarm system. The instructions should be listed with the rest of the house rules. After 20 minutes of trying to communicate with the property manager, my husband was able to disable the main system (not the wall unit in the kitchen area). The neighbor was sent over to check on us but we had alarm off by then. We would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful cabin by the lake

This was the perfect weekend get away! The cabin was well set up for our family get together. It was my family if 4, mother in law, brother in law and sister in law. We had beds for everyone and it was great to be able to spread out. The view... Is AMAZING! I could have started at t that view forever! Getting there was easy except the address is not marked on the street... You know you passed it because the mailbox numbers make a huge leap. It would be nice to have either the address or the cabin name posted at the bottom of the driveway. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The paddle boat and fishing boat were a great addition. I would stay here again.

Family vacation

Whole family vacation, ages 65-8 years old, enjoyed by all. Kayaked, fished on Lake Chicagoan (not very successful but fun) and fun using the paddle boat and motor boat supplied by the property. House was very comfortable and plenty of space and outdoor grounds nice. The newly remodeled kitchen was very nice, only issue was that the ice maker in freezer was slow to keep up, bring ice. Since the house has no AC it was very hard to keep cool, especially the upstairs. The property is centrally located for other activities.

The Hiding Place is a little hard to find-luckily Willa the property manager was very friendly helpful and responded quickly when we needed something. The lodge was clean and spacious. Lots of outdoor seating and decking. Bring water shoes!! It’s a little hard getting in and out of the water for us older ones!! A great place for our family reunion. Thanks!!!
