Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Gather and wash all bathmats; start the dryer Empty countertop ice maker, wipe out reservoir, wash ice scoop Return furniture to original location. Check for personal belongings.
Wash all beach chairs, umbrellas, wagon, and toys and return to their storage location. Blow off carport Clean the grill and cover it Empty all trash and take to outside containers
Sign out from any personal APPS on TVs
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please bag all trash. There is a large trash can with trash bags in renters closet for smaller items collected during your stay.
Keep BOTH thermostats on same temperature to maximize best use of air units.
Please report damage or anything that needs attention to host so arrangements can be made to fix. Salt water affects faucets, toilets, door handles!

Great location, wonderful amenities! Owner is efficient and prompt with not only communication but action as needed with any issues that were arose during our stay which was minimal. Overall top notch house and stay!

Our family loved this home for our beach vacation. The house was beautiful, clean, and well-stocked. We had several children with us and felt this home was a great choice - they had a beach wagon, chairs/umbrellas, outdoor games, and chalk for the patio. The kitchen had everything and more that we could’ve needed. Would definitely recommend this home to others!

Our family loved staying at Double Take! It's the perfect location - a very short, few minutes, walk right up to the beach access, on the same street! The house was very clean, smelled amazing, and there was room for everyone. The bedrooms were great, especially the double beds in two of the upstairs rooms with a jack and jill bathroom - perfect for our small kids and grands. The kitchen was incredibly stocked if you are staying in to eat. I have never stayed in house with a kitchen that had everything you could need - down to a garlic press! It has spices, sugars, oils, pots, pans, that really, it was impressive for a rental. We loved the front porch and the rockers where we spent every evening. And it's a great, quiet neighborhood to walk or run or ride bike without being on a busy main road. Even the back deck with it's awesome seating was a great place to hang out having morning coffee. Also, when it says there is a guest closet outside that has beach items, you don't have to worry that it's one beach chair and some broken toys. This closet is stocked with so many beach chairs and beach umbrellas, beach games, that we didn't get any of ours out of the car! That was so nice. Even a wagon to pull the grandkids to the beach! This place lacks nothing and Mary was awesome to work with - so communicative and timely with our questions. We will stay here again! This is a gem!

Host stayed in touch leading up to the stay and during the stay. Kitchen was amazing and very well stocked. The house was comfortable, clean and an easy walk to the beach. The renter’s closet was a nice bonus with beach, umbrellas, toys, a wagon and a mini-refrigerator.

North Carolina natives that enjoy the coast. Our mother and twin sister built this home for both families in 1991. We are the 2nd generation owners preserving the past while keeping items updated for renters who need technology to work and play. The kitchen, den, flooring and furniture were renovated in 2022 and each year we add a new project. We hope you enjoy OIB as much as we do and create many lasting memories.

Family home built in 1991 where kids have learned to ride bikes and skateboard while parents sit on front porch overlooking double sided quiet street. Multiple houses on the street, including next door, have permanent residents on the street. Public beach access is available approximately 100 yards away.

Clean, organized and fully stocked kitchen for 14. Available outlets for your golf cart rental. Quick walk to island activities (park, ice cream, shopping, dinner, and music). Private home on a divided street great for quiet time, conversations with friends, or watching kids play outside. No pool, but sport court play area conducive to yard games, scooters, and chalk painting.
