Hi Ciara,
Delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay! Thanks again for staying with us. Hope to hear from you again. Regards, Mark
The house was perfect. Comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. Close to the hotel and store. The owner, Mark, was very available by phone to answer questions and solve problems. Curracloe Beach was nearby and beautiful. A car is definitely needed to get around. Would stay there again.

We spent a week in Curracloe and it was nice to be so close to the beach/dunes - we were fortunate with great weather. The home was very spacious and the neighborhood was quiet. Mark was great and easy to communicate with.

Thanks very much Ninette!! It was a pleasure having yourselves stay and delighted you enjoyed your time in Curracloe!!
Was very pleased with the property, it was very clean and lived up to the description on the website. Was great having the three toilets. Outdoor area is excellent. Location is absolutely fabulous, so close to the beach. Hotel across the road had lovely food, recommend the steak, the curry and the wok dishes. Mark was a pleasure to deal with on the phone. Would highly recommend this property.

Thanks Paul! Delighted you enjoyed the house and your stay we were more than happy to have you as guests. Curracloe is a outstanding area to holiday and we're delighted to be able to 'introduce' people to it. Hope to hear from you again!!
3 of us stayed, walked the beach & trails etc,,, A good location. Having a car is a benefit but we walk a lot so it worked for us. There’s a bus to town and sufficient cooking utensils …. The restaurant across the street was convenient but the food is very mediocre. Hosts were helpful.. price was right for what you got.

Very disappointed
This was a last minute rental for us. We planned to stay four days and the owner accepted our request for rental. We left just hours after we arrived. I wouldn't have dreamnt about sitting on the furniture it was in such dirty condition. The kitchen was very dirty and I was afraid to open the refigerator wothout using the anitbacterial cleaner I found under the sink first. The floors had not even been swept yet alone washed, probably in months. The owner when notified, (which I understand as it was a last minute rental) said he had never had anyone complain about the place. And, that's true. The reviews were all good. Perhaps it was just a bad time? I don't know. When I did call him to tell him, I was very kind and he was as well, however when I asked him if he could see fit to refund even a portion of our money that would be great, but he said all he could offer me would be to call his cleaning lady (who lived nearby) and she would come down and do whatever I thought needed to be done. My response was, it would take me weeks or longer to be a rental I would stay in. I even mentioned I wouldn't write a review and that it was no harm, no foul, but the more I thought about it as well as my husband, it's a bit upsetting I must admit. My husband and I have rented cottages, homes, etc to stay in on several ocassions when we have traveled and they have always been at the very least "clean". Note: there were spiders in the towels so I know they had not been washed recently. If at all possible, I would recommend viewing this rental before you actually rent it. And I know that's hard to do if you live abroad and it's the chance you take, but this place needs a good scrubbing and some new downstairs furniture.

This review is highly inaccurate. It's actually ridiculous that I have to respond to this. I took this booking and spoke to the party coming to the house before they stayed. I said as I always do, If you have any problems ring me straight away. I heard again from the party hours later after they had locked themselves out of the house and were in the process of leaving. They described the house as being in a uninhabitable condition for the "reasons" stated previously. I knew first hand this was fiction because I had been in the house a day previously. The party then asked for a refund. I offered to send my cleaner (the same cleaner I have had for 10 years, who I've NEVER EVER had a complaint against, who has had guests leave gifts for her because they are so happy with how the house is presented, and I could go on....) to come back and address the "issues" these people had. They refused this offer, spoke in a highly emotive tone, as if they had been through some sort of trauma, saying that they HAD to leave and that there was "no harm, no foul" and that the would "not post a bad review". I inspected the house after they had left and it was perfectly presentable, albeit the shower and bed had been used by them, a detail not mentioned to me in our previous conversation. Apparently these items were not so repulsive. There were no cleanliness problems with the fridge, couch, floor etc... or any of the rest of the house for that matter and to say that it would "take weeks" of cleaning to make it right is just as crazy as it sounds. For reasons, best known to themselves, these people wanted to leave and were hoping to get paid to do so. When these people found that I was unwilling to follow them down the nonsense trail, we find ourselves here.
It was ok bed was comfy it had all you needed handy near hotel and 2km from fab beach clean enough outside a bit dated expensive enough with extra fees cleaning etc i paid for pet but didn't bring him no chance in getting any refund
Lovely house in a great location. 5 minute drive from the beach and walking distance of Hotel Curracloe and the local village. It was stocked with firewood and all the small kitchen and toilet essentials. Our stay was at Christmas time and the house was also decorated for us. A very nice touch.

My apologies. I regret the unintentional failure to communicate with yourselves prior to your arrival. I understand that the response on the website states that 'I'll be in touch with details prior to your stay'. I had tried to contact yourselves to no avail prior to your arrival at the house but the weather storm 'Jorge' was playing havoc with the mobile networks and communications. That was demonstrated when we were finally able to speak on the phone but we could not complete the phone call and had to communicate through messaging. I also could not switch on the heating system remotely as that is operated on a mobile network as well that was down for most of the day. This was an unfortunate experience for yourselves and I appreciate your disappointment in being inconvenienced.
Great recommended property rental for families/pets
We stayed early September 2019, Monday to Saturday (5 nights) there should have been four of us plus the family dog although only two of us could make the holiday (without the dog). Good to know well behaved pets can be accommodated if agreed with Mark (property manager). We visit Ireland every year as we love the country and have family here! The property is as described and as per photos and is very well equipped for families, those with young children or older children and would also probably suit two couples due to there being two good sized double bedrooms, one with en-suite and an additional bathroom. The third bedroom has good sized bunk beds. Great kitchen/diner and sitting room. This property doesn’t feel like a holiday rental but more like a lived in home from home; this also means that there is the expected reasonable wear and tear within the house - do bear in mind kids and pets stay here! There’s a patio area and garden and if the weather’s wet, there’s dvd’s, board games, toys, books etc to keep the family entertained. The location of the property is excellent in a small residential quiet cul de sac with friendly neighbours and backs onto open space/field. Curracloe Hotel is over the road (literally!) and great for drinks and serves food; lovely welcoming and friendly staff. 5 minute drive to Curracloe Beach (yes, Saving Private Ryan was filmed here as we’ve also been to Omaha Beach in Normandy!), beach not within walking distance though. You can also take dogs on the beach and it’s probably one of the best beaches in Ireland! 5 minute drive into lovely Wexford town which is a good size with loads of shops and restaurants. 30 minute drive to Kilmore Quay (always a go to for the area and fish n chips!) and lots of other things to find to do within an hour or so drive. We were also a 35 minute drive to family in Wellingtonbridge, not to near or too far! We loved staying here as found the area quiet and convenient with everything we needed and enjoyed the space for just the two of us. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again and if we were going to relocate to Ireland, we’d be very happy living in this house/area! The only reason we have scored 4 stars overall and not 5 is due to the wear and tear versus the rental charge for the period and lots of spiders dangling from the ceiling, first impressions. However, for us, these are minor concerns and we would still recommend this property as a great family holiday rental.

Amazing....feeling like Home
Danke Mark ;-)

A great property in a great area
This is a spacious, clean, very well equipped house, with a lovely garden backing on to open fields and fab views from the upstairs window towards the sea. It has a great dining area with french windows into the garden, a cosy sitting room with open fire and comfy seats, and two proper double bedrooms with comfy beds - had the best nights sleep I have had in ages! The kitchen is well equipped - you could cook a tasty Christmas dinner in it - and there are plenty of bathroom facilities. The house is only moments away by car from a beautiful sandy beach and it is a short drive to picturesque town of Wexford with its excellent range of shops, cafes and pubs. However, there is a very well stocked shop a couple of minutes walk from the house as well as the Curracloe Hotel across the road so to be honest this is a great place if you want to unwind and relax and give driving a bit of a rest. We had a brilliant stay and would thoroughly recommend.

19 River Glen Curracloe
We had a lovely week at 19 River Glen Curracloe. The house is very nice, cozy and very clean. The house is fully equipped. In the beautiful and large garden, you can recover very well. The beautiful surroundings, the long Curracloe beach and Raven Point invites you to a walk. To Wexford are just a few minutes by car, there you have the opportunity to go shopping. A beautiful view over the city, do you have from the Cafe at the Opera.
