About the host
Your host
We both grew up camping at Higgins Lake, and some of our favorite memories were made right here — late nights by the fire, slow mornings, and that feeling of being completely away from everything. When we created this space, our goal was simple: to share that magic with others.
Our friends would describe us as creative, funny, and smart, and we bring that same energy into hosting. We care deeply about thoughtful design, comfort, and making sure every guest feels like they’ve stepped into something special. What we love most is knowing this place becomes part of people’s stories — anniversaries, reunions, quiet getaways, spontaneous adventures, and everything in between.

Why they chose this property
This location feels like a hidden escape.
Tucked deep into the woods, the chalet is surrounded by walking paths, towering trees, and wildlife that wanders through daily. It’s peaceful, private, and immersive — yet only minutes from Higgins Lake and all the fun that comes with it.
From the outside, it’s a striking black chalet with a wraparound deck. Inside, it’s modern mid-century coastal — warm, curated, and inspired by lake life. Large windows pull the forest inside, creating a space that feels both elevated and deeply calming.
You’re less than a mile from Higgins Lake’s Samoset Park, so summer days are often spent swimming, boating, and lounging on the beach. In winter, guests head out for snowmobiling and ice fishing before returning to glowing fires, warm drinks, and total coziness.
For nightlife and food, we love Frog Tiki Bar for live music and cocktails, and The Landmark for great meals any time of day. It’s the perfect mix of adventure, and relaxation.

What makes this property unique
This isn’t just a place to stay — it’s an experience.
We chose this chalet for its open floor plan, dramatic windows, proximity to the lake, and the way nature surrounds you on all sides. It feels secluded, but never isolated. Luxurious, but never pretentious.
What guests love most:
• Modern comfort wrapped in nature
• Hotel-level cleanliness
• A large, private wooded lot
You’ll find artful details throughout — including black walnut live-edge elements, architectural touches, and a layout designed for connection and relaxation.
In the winter, it feels like you’re inside a snow globe, watching snowfall through massive windows. In the summer, the vibe shifts into full lake retreat mode: grilling on the deck, chilling in Adirondack chairs, playing yard games, and using the Traeger smoker and outdoor fridge.
And if you’re lucky, you’ll wake up to a family of deer passing through while you sip your morning coffee.
