Attention Boaters, Fisherman, Families! Burt Lake near Indian River, Michigan is known for its walleye, perch and other great fishing.
This duplex is located on beautiful Burt Lake in Indian River just minutes from Petoskey, Gaylord, Mackinaw City. and Mackinac Island.
Burt Lake is a pristine, clear 17,300 acre lake that is part of the Inland Waterway of Crooked lake, Crooked River, Indian River, Mullett Lake, and the Cheboygan River to Lake Huron. The resort is a great location for families. The property has over 300 feet of shared frontage, a large grassy area for children to run and play, and a shallow area to swim. The association also features a swing set, basketball hoop, volleyball net, fire pit, and fish cleaning shed. This fully furnished cottage has a kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and large deck. Dock has the best sunset views over the lake.

Nearby cities and towns: Petoskey, Gaylord, Mackinaw City, and the Mackinac Bridge to the UP are 30 minutes away,

Traverse City is an hour.

A shared renters dock is available for boats on a first come basis. One buoy is available per cottage for boats or jet skis, etc.

This is a non-smoking unit.

Pets are not allowed

Cottage comes supplied with all dishes, pots and pans, silverware, cooking stove, microwave, refrigerator, gas grill, picnic table and deck chairs.
Guests must furnish their own towels and linens.

Great fall getaway

Stayed at the cabin with my son and his girlfriend. We used to go boating on the chain of lakes when he was younger and he had been wanting to go back. The cabin was charming, very small but the perfect size for two couples. Very well equipped kitchen, the lake views were great, the hosts very helpful. It is not the Marriott but it was a darling cabin on the lake!

Dennis's cottage was great, clean and as advertised. It had everything we needed for our stay, including movies and games for rainy days :) The deck facing the lake was nice to relax and enjoy meals on. Amazing sunrises and sunsets. Beautiful little association at the end of a cul de sac. Dated duplex fishing cabin. But very clean and cute. We were there for a soccer tournament. Wish we could have taken more advantage of Burt Lake.

We loved our stay on Burt Lake! The cottage was great. So reasonably priced. Fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of storage space on bathroom shelves Two comfortable bedrooms. Family room/eating area was very nice. Loved the picnic table for meals outdoors on the patio. Grill was great. Neighbors were very nice. Loved having moorings available for our jet ski and ski boat rentals. Firepit area was so nice in the evening. I'm a very nervous renter and Dennis was great answering my questions. We loved relaxing with our kids before they headed back to college. It was really nice to have a great view of the lake! Clean. Beautiful lake!

Perfect lake getaway!

The setting on Burt Lake was great, and a very short drive into Alanson to pick up the extensive cycle path network. The cottage was well appointed and the owner couldn't have been more helpful. The neighbors made us feel very welcome, and we had a really relaxing weekend.
