Enjoy family time together and relax in this exceptional 4-bedroom house on the water in coastal Westport, MA. The property boasts an extra large deck with nearly 180-degree views of the Westport river. With 2 king size beds and 4 twin size beds, this exceptional property comfortably sleeps eight. Enjoy life on the river, nearby beaches, scenic New England countryside, local vineyards and the Buzzards Bay Brewery and lots more. Rent a kayak and paddle down the river to your own dock. Nestled in a quiet corner of Westport, on nearly two acres, this peaceful getaway is the perfect place to unwind at the end of a day of local adventures.

In August 2026, we upgrade our outdoor grill to a new Weber Spirit gas grill.

Accessibility: We know that many families travel with elderly parents/grandparents. We offer these notes proactively to address some common questions. The circular driveway allows ready access to the front door, which can be as close as 20 ft from your car door, with just two small steps to climb. Once inside, there's a first floor bedroom with a full bathroom (shower) just inside (i.e. no further steps to climb). Residents of that bedroom have access to the kitchen, dining room, living room and deck on the same level (no stairs). My father lived in this house until he was 92...he continued to climb the stairs to the second floor.

Gorgeous property with magnificent view. Deck runs along the entire house with peaceful natural views of Westport River. Ann, the host is organized, efficient and helpful. The house is better than the pictures!! Highly recommend.

We had a great extended weekend at this Westport home! Plenty of room for family. Comfortable furnishings and very comfortable beds. Communication with the owner was excellent. The deck and view are amazing. Would highly recommend this home.

The property is spectacular!! We enjoyed an amazing week with our multi-generation family. Everything has been thought of for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. The views are incredible and we very much enjoyed the fabulous deck. Anne, the property manager was terrific and quick to reply to any random question we asked. This home is one of a kind! We go home with great memories and hope to be back next year!

Beautiful location on the East Branch of the Westport River. Perfect for family time together. Comfortable bedrooms. Nice kitchen for preparing meals. Host was gracious and available if needed. Location is close to beaches, winery, hiking and other day trips.

This home was everything we’d hoped for! It was impeccably clean and had everything we needed. We had a 5 year old, and he was so comfortable in this house, too. Anne, the host, was so attentive and generous. And you cannot beat this view!

The house is perfect for a large family. The arrangement of rooms ideal for privacy, three out of four bedrooms had their own full baths, Our daughter and her husband and 1 yr. old had the basement room with a mini kitchenette and walk out to the backyard, very private and quiet away from the main floor, our son had the room off the living room with beautiful views of the river and his own private balcony, My husband's brother had the room off of the foyer with a full bath. We had the main suite on the second floor with our own private balcony. bedding in all the rooms was clean and beds were comfortable, The house was well equipped and had a lovely big deck to sit out on with cushions, large table to eat on. Inside same, large dining table and chairs. Kitchen appliances were in good shape and easy to use. the kitchen was also well equipped. We would recommend this as a great place to stay,

Awesome spot! Place was very clean when we arrived and Anne (property manager) was amazing throughout our stay. The property and house were perfect for our young kids (caught fish and crabs off the dock) plus convenient access to the beaches and local restaurants. We’ll definitely be coming back again next summer!

My father, the artist John Stobart, chose this location for his summer residence after opting to leave the tumult of Martha's Vineyard. He wanted a beautiful waterside escape from his city residence on Boston's Union Wharf that would be within easy reach of the city. He lived at this property for 30yrs. He adored this house.

My wife, daughter and I visited annually over the years, typically in August. Crabbing off the dock was always part of our trip. Surprisingly, in all those years, no one ever fell off the dock into the water.

Why they chose this property

Westport is a quiet oasis along the MA coast, just across the state line from RI, near Fall River and Providence. Once you exit from 195, you leave the traffic behind.

Together with its surrounding villages, Westport is dotted with beautiful New England countryside vistas, crisscrossed with stone walls and pleasantly free of all chain stores. Our property is tucked away on a quiet road, down a long driveway, and prominently features a breathtaking view of the Westport River. Our expansive deck provides ample space for sun worshiping or dining on the water.

What makes this property unique

Everyone who visits our property is dazzled by our view of the Westport River. We look out on Lakes Island, Cadman Neck, Westport Rivers Vineyard, and Hix Bridge in the distance. The view is spectacular, and our property takes full advantage of it, both with the expansive two floor deck, and the wall of windows on the water side of the building. Three of our four bedrooms have substantial water views.
