About this property
Modern guesthouse in Mad River Valley Fernstone
Nestled at 1,800 feet in the scenic Alpine Village of Warren, Vermont, our newly built, charming A-frame offers the perfect Vermont escape. The studio features a queen-sized bed, a well equipped kitchen, and a cozy living area with ever changing seasonal views. A loft with two twin beds, accessible by a ladder, provides extra sleeping space. Only about 15 minutes to the best skiing in the East, Warren Falls, The Warren Store, The Waitsfield Farmers Market, The Round Barn, the Lareau Farm and many other wedding venues.
This modern A frame is set up as a fully functional studio apartment
On the main level, there are two loveseats and a smart tv in the living area. It has a well equipped kitchenette along with a dining table with seating for four. The queen size bed with extra pillows and blankets take in a beautiful seasonal view of the mountains and pond.
Up a stationary ladder to the loft area are two twin size beds. A perfect cozy sleeping area!
Your own washer and dryer are located in your common breezeway.
The main house that we live in and the guesthouse that you are staying in are attached with a locked common breezeway. You have access to the breezeway and your studio with a keypad.
There is parking for two vehicles in front of the guesthouse.
Guest have access to the four acre property which includes a small pond.
It is extremely important to know a few things about our location.
We are located on a dirt road. With that in mind, the snow in the winter and the mud in the spring are no joke!
You WILL DEFINITELY need at least AWD in the winter and spring (typically mid October through late April) 4x4 is the best idea! Cars with low clearance and without snow tires will not cut it!
GPS, Google maps and others will give you different ways to get here. It may re-route you on other streets. They will not work. Please refer to our arrival guide for step by step instructions. Downloading the map for off line use would be handy. There is limited cell phone service in this area.
There is no smoking or vaping allowed anywhere on property here. We do not allow any type of pets or animals. We ask that you respect our home and treat it as such.
Our home and the guest house sit on four acres in Alpine Village less than two miles from the Scenic Highway Route 100.
We are within walking distance to Blueberry Lake which offers outdoor enjoyment year round. Mountain biking, paddle boarding and kayaking in the summer along with xc skiing and snow shoeing in the winter.
We are about a 15 minute drive to Sugarbush and about 20 minutes to Mad River Glen. These drive times are all weather dependent.
Warren Village and its iconic Warren Store along with one of the country’s best swimming holes, Warren Falls are all a 10 minute drive away.

We are originally from southern New Hampshire and spent many weekends here in Mad River Valley. We believed that the Valley offered something really special…almost magical. So much so, we decided to move here
What makes this property unique
Beginning with dreams and some drawings on a napkin, our home came to life. We are so proud of our home and so grateful every day to live in Vermont. We love sharing it with family, friends and guests. You will not find a property management group answering your calls and texts. If you ever have an issue, concern or just need to know where the best swimming holes are, reach out to us. Come knock on our door, we are more than happy to help.
