About the host
Hosted by olga chernova
Ojai Mountain is a working organic vineyard perched high above the Pacific Ocean, where wild California beauty meets the art of winemaking. For years, we dreamed of offering others the chance to experience the peace, views, and magic that drew us here. When the neighboring estate became available, we knew it was the perfect opportunity. With its sweeping vistas, quiet elegance, and proximity to the vines, it was a natural extension of everything we love about this place.
We’ve partnered with a wonderful local host to help create an experience that’s as warm and welcoming as it is unforgettable. We look forward to sharing this remarkable corner of California with you.
ABOUT HOST:

Hi, I’m Shannon! I’m a long-time Upper Ojai resident with a deep love for nature, animals, and the unique beauty of this valley. I spent many years working as a veterinary technician, and when I’m not welcoming guests, you might find me onstage at one of Ojai’s local theaters. I look forward to helping you experience all the magic this place has to offer.

Why they chose this property
What we enjoy most about the neighborhood is the feeling of distance without isolation. There is space, silence, and a steady rhythm to the mountain, broken only by wind, birds, and the slow shift of light. The sunsets are the anchor point of the day. As the sun drops, the colors move across the valley and out to the ocean, changing minute by minute. People tend to stop talking, pour a glass, and just watch.
There is also a calm here that guests notice quickly. Whether you think of it as a positive vortex or simply the effect of elevation, open land, and clean air, the result is the same. You feel settled, recharged, and more present. Time stretches a little. Sleep comes easier. You leave grounded in a way that is hard to explain until you experience it yourself.

What makes this property unique
The setting is expansive and quiet, the kind of place where your sense of scale resets almost immediately. From the terraces, the view opens across all of Ventura County at once. You can see the Pacific and the Channel Islands floating on the horizon, and Lake Casitas catching the light to the west, all in a single sweep. It is rare to have land, water, and sky layered so completely in one place.
