About this property

Retro A-Frame Cabin in Fancy Gap minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway

While the vibe nods to the past, this A-Frame cabin has been recently refreshed and updated. Built in the 70's, warm wood tones and mid-century touches create a hint of nostaglia.

Tucked away just minutes off the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway and I-77, this is an ideal spot to explore nearby small towns or simply stay in and unwind. Curl up with a good book, put on some records, sip coffee breathing the mountain air, or unwind by the electric fireplace after a day of hiking and exploring.

Perfect for couples, small families, friends or anyone who loves the charm of a classic cabin with today’s comforts, this A-frame is equal parts retro and relaxing. Whether you're here for a peaceful retreat or a launchpad for Blue Ridge adventures, this cozy hideaway is ready to welcome you.

The cabin offers both a main-level bedroom and a loft sleeping space, but please note: the loft is accessed by steep ladder-style stairs. It’s perfect for adventurous guests, but not ideal for small children, pets, or anyone with mobility challenges.

HIGHLIGHTS/DETAILS:
- 2 Bedrooms (One Upstairs open loft/ One Main level)
- Fully equipped kitchen with essential cookware, pour over and drip coffee makers and dining space
- Living area w / record player, books and games and electric fireplace
- Outdoor covered screened porch
- Fast Starlink WiFi
- Dog-friendly for up to two dogs (note - the yard is not fenced).

SLEEPING:

- (1): Upstairs in the open loft space is a new cozy king sized bed with side tables, lamps, a tv and sitting area.
- (2): On the main level just off the living space there is a queen sized bed with tv and sitting area. The bathroom is en-suite to this bedroom.

BATHROOM:

- The full bath is located on the main level of the A-Frame off the queen size bedroom. It has a spacious shower with rainfall shower head (no bathtub) and is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and towels.

KITCHEN:
- The full kitchen has an oven, microwave, air fryer, drip coffee maker and pour over coffee pot, crock pot, toaster and all of the amenities you'd expect such as pots and pans, baking sheets, utensils, etc. There are dishes, silverware, glassware as well as basic seasonings and cooking oils. The dining table seats 4 and there are 2 barstools at the kitchen counter.

SUPPLIES:
We provide basic cleaning supplies and dish soap, as well as a starter kit of paper towels and toilet paper. Bed linens and towels are also provided, along with basic amenities such as hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. For longer stays, you may want to bring a few extra towels and toiletries.

FYI/GOOD TO KNOW INFO:

Part of the charm of an A-frame is its unique angles—just a heads-up (literally!) that you may need to mind your head when getting in and out of bed or moving through a few cozy corners.

The upstairs open loft bedroom is not recommended for children, pets or those with mobility challenges. The stairs are steep and almost like a ladder and there are low railings.

Our A-frame sits in a mellow mountain neighborhood with a mix of locals, second homes, and other travelers soaking up the Blue Ridge vibes. Weekdays are usually more quiet, while weekends bring a little more action—like the hum of lawnmowers or a neighbor fixing up their place. By nighttime though, it settles into that quiet, starry mountain calm.
