The property was just perfect. Simple house, great WiFi and plenty of open space for the dogs and I to get outside and explore. Would definitely stay again.
My husband and I had a great time at this beautiful cabin. We loved sitting on the deck watching the wildlife in the evenings. We saw deer, turkeys and a fox. The cabin is very cute and clean and we didn’t smell a skunk at all or see any bugs as one review said. We hope to come back and visit Red Lodge in the future and stay at this lovely little cabin.
This was a nice getaway from the city and close to the trails we wanted to hike. The cabin was very clean and had everything needed for a nice stay. Tammy was very quick to respond and very pleasant to communicate with. We saw 2 moose while we were there, along with some beautiful sunrises and sunsets. I would not hesitate to stay again. The fenced yard was an added bonus for it being pet friendly as well.

The house is on 80 acres and allows dogs. That was amazing! My dog had the time of his life thinking he owned all of it. Unfortunately, there must have been a family of skunks living under the house or nearby because the house had an overwhelming smell of skunk. There were plug-ins, but they didn't help. I have washed the clothes in our luggage three times already and it still smells. There were spiders, earwigs and little black beetles in almost every room and my husband had to clean the grill because there was a lot of leftover, melted food left on it. I reached out to the property owner to let them know that it was so bad, we decided to leave a day early. My hope was to give them extra time to make it right before the next family arrived, but they never responded. We were very excited about this property, but we won't be returning. :(

We are very sorry that we did not respond to your message after you checked out. We were traveling near Glacier National Park at the time and had very unreliable internet service. We truly thought we had responded and, unfortunately, didn’t realize until we returned home that our message had never gone through.
When we returned, we also learned that we did indeed have a skunk problem. A family of skunks had created a den near/under the house, and we have since hired a professional wildlife company to remove them and address the issue.
Being in rural Montana, we do have a lot of wildlife on the property and regularly see deer, turkeys, moose, and occasionally bears. In all the time we have owned the property, however, this was our first experience with skunks creating a den near the house, and we certainly did not anticipate the extent of the odor.
We completely understand how disappointing this stay must have been, especially when you were looking forward to enjoying the property. We sincerely apologize for both the issue during your stay and for our lack of communication afterward.
