Nestled in the heart of Lutsen, this charming 3-bedroom cabin offers the perfect escape for your next vacation. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by the warm glow of the fireplace, inviting you to cozy up and unwind. The fully stocked kitchen complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, outdoor gas grill and all the necessary appliances allows you to easily prepare delicious meals to enjoy at the dining table. Enjoy our complementary bottle of wine and 2 souvenir wine glasses as our welcome gift.

Spend your days exploring the nearby Superior National Forest, just a short walk away, or venture to the North Shore Winery for a taste of the local flavors. When you're not out adventuring, you can chill in the great room overlooking Lake Superior, identify the many birds at the feeders, stream a movie, challenge your friends to a game night with the selection of games and books provided, try our scavenger hunt, take a sauna, design and color a rock and add it to our huge art collection or take a long soak in our claw foot tub. North woods charm

This property is obviously well loved. The little touches all around both inside and out made us feel welcome. My grandson loved his “bear” bedroom and would love to come back and stay in the “moose bedroom “The location is perfect for hiking and is close to Lutsen and Grand Marais.

An oasis for multi generational family vacation

This place is truly a gem! Everything is pristine and in great shape, plus there are adorable, whimsical touches all over. The hosts are very thoughtful and provide a welcoming experience from beginning to end. The Lutsen Lookout is very spacious and was the perfect place for our extended family to vacation together.

Lutsen Lookout is fantastic

Wonderful and unique home and property. Easy to get to Lutsen Mountains for our ski trip. Lutsen Lookout is very well appointed. Something to enjoy for all ages. Very close to HWY 61 to access all that the Lake Superior shore has to offer and a quick drive to shops and restaurants in Grand Marais and surrounding towns. Hosts are very responsive and welcoming. Can't wait to come back!

Great location for weekend getaway

We had a fantastic stay at this VRBO! The location was great (only a few minute drive to Lutsen ski hill, 1 mile to winery and quick drive to various hiking trails). The house was set up with anything you could need for cooking or just hanging out with friends. Easy communication with the hosts. Would absolutely stay here again!

Wonderful stay at Lutsen Lookout for and adventurous weekend riding. Beautiful, large and comfortable for our stay before and after the race. Location was perfect, close to the race activities and Grand Marais. The view is amazing but we never really saw the lake due to cloudiness.

Excellent property. Clean and well equipped. We were 4 old skiers-enjoyed the fireplace and beautiful Lake Superior sunrises. Enjoyed watching the birds at the feeders.

Incredible Cabin

The Lutsen Lookout is the perfect cabin for everyone! We were impressed by all the details that Todd and Pam put into it! And for those wondering, this cabin has everything you'll need for cooking, so there is no need to bring anything extra but the food. Also, a massive plus for us was how clean the place was! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommended staying at the Lutsen Lookout!

Enjoyed our stay - first time we'd done this as a family. Did some hiking along the lake both north and south of the cabin - weather was great and temps not too warm, although we never could locate the box fans. Enjoyed the firepit and watching the hummingbirds.

Wonderful and relaxing stay!

Lutsen Lookout was by far the most comfortable and inviting cabin we’ve rented on the North Shore! The cabin is well stocked and has plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. The decor both inside and outside is perfect and the gondola is a cute addition and great for picture taking. It was a welcome break to come up and just relax and take a step a way from all the craziness going on right now. We hope to come back and visit again soon!! Spectacular!!

Lutsen Lookout is a beautiful home, set on a hillside with a gorgeous view of Lake Superior!! We enjoyed the spacious feeling with high ceilings and huge fireplace at the center of the great room. The kitchen was very well supplied and the unusual center island (with tree stump base) seemed to draw us together after a day of hiking/ shopping/exploring, always in need of some food it seems. Nice attention to details with nightlights, coffee and tea etc. A GREAT getaway, very quiet and private.

North Shore Gataway

Our family came for a three day weekend. We spent time enjoying the fireplace, stunning Lake Superior views, and warm and coziness of Lutsen Lookout. Enjoyed several family meals in the kitchen. Great collection of movies and games. Woke up on Sunday to a beautiful snowy morning. Filled the bird feeders and had several birds, squirrels, and deer come to visit. We really enjoyed the sauna daily. What a wonderful and relaxing weekend! Great job on everything! All the comforts of home and then some! Thank you for sharing it with us.

Lutsen Lookout was built for luxury and privacy while maximizing the views or Lake Superior. Lutsen Lookout is a very comfortable 3000 sq ft home with an open design. It's located on 5.2 private acres of pristine land and surrounded by 100's of acres of State and Federal land. Nearby restaurants, bars, shopping areas and activities make it an ideal location. You can cross county ski, hike and snowmobile right from the front door. Due to the remote access, all-wheel or 4-wheel drive is required for winter rentals.

What makes this property unique

There is access to a snowmobile trail which brings you to a groomed cross county ski trail ... right from the cabin. Downhill skiing at the Lutsen Mountain is just a mile away. For warmer weather enjoy the nearby Lake Superior Hiking Trail, the Gitchee Gumee bike trail, Gondola rides the Alpine Slide or leisurely walks along Lake Superior beaches. We are surrounded by woods, privacy and wildlife. Ideal for 2-3 families or couples. Nearby restaurants and establishments include North Shore Winery (1-mile) Papa Charlies (2 miles), Lutsen Lodge (2 miles), Moguls Grille and Tap Room (2 miles), Coho Cafe (7 miles), Cascade Lodge (10 miles) and some great brew pubs and restaurants in Grand Marias (19 miles)
