The property was great. It was definitely pet friendly. We had three dogs and they had plenty of room to move around without being under foot with a full house. The house was clean well stopped and in the perfect area to be close enough to things if you need them but far enough way you don’t have to worry about the hustle and bustle of being in town.
The house was exactly what we were hoping for for our Gettysburg weekend! Everything was very clean, well-kept, and comfortable from the moment we arrived. The location was awesome — close to everything we wanted to do while still feeling relaxing and convenient. It ended up being the perfect home base for exploring Gettysburg and enjoying the weekend. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
The house and property are very nice and are within a few miles of Gettysburg, which is what we were looking for. However, the rugs smelled a bit like dogs had been living there - the basement in particular. Also, these days you should expect at a minimum that there would be one TV - this property has none and it's not very obvious in the listing which was a huge disappointment for us. Then the breakers kept tripping in the kitchen, so we had to keep resetting them in the basement. It was a rainy day on our second day there and the ceiling between the kitchen and mud room started leaking very badly so we had to find a bucket to catch the water.
The only disappointment we had was with the weather—cold and rainy. So we were unable to fully appreciate the expansive beautiful property, patio and fire pit. Everything else was perfect for our large group. Plenty of room to spread out, have privacy, but also welcomes group gathering! We loved it! Minutes from Gettysburg with a scenic gorgeous drive!
Great home… clean and comfortable. Stocked Coffee and Tea bar… what a gift this was for us! It’s these details… that raises our stay up to a higher level. Also, enjoyed fire pit. Full bathroom upstairs very nice. Will return… as our family lives in Gettysburg. Thank you.
This is a beautiful property in a beautiful rural location. The house itself is well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen well-appointed and easy to work in, and the main living rom was big enough for a large group with room for children to play. The back yard was great for young children to play in and the patio was perfect for adults to relax and chat.Three of the bedrooms and both full baths are upstairs in the older part of the house. This section was built before modern building codes (early 20th century?) and so the stairs are narrow and can be a bit tricky. If you have difficulty going up and down stairs this could be a problem. So if stairs aren't a problem for you, check out the Blue Ribbon Homestead. You'll enjoy your stay.
The house was wonderful well supplied an plenty of room for use all. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Easy access to the auto tour an downtown gettysburg. Great family trip we will be back.
The house was a peek back in time, but with a very modern feel in the amenities. Our large group was able to spread out and had an amazing timeOnly hiccup was being given an incorrect code for entry the first day.
