The property was very clean and well stocked with necessities. Jill was very accessible. I have no negative comments, we would definitely book to stay there again and would highly recommend it. Thank you.

Excellent Accommodations
We have rented from Jill for the past three or four years since our free place to stay near Ferryville went away. We have stayed both upstairs and downstairs and love the proximity to "downtown" Ferryville, Winneshiek landing boat launch, the view of the river, pet -friendly environment, and ease of working with Jill. We love boating up and down the river near pool 9 and wasting the day away on sandy beaches with a cold beverage in hand, watching the barges go by, and finishing the day fishing in the backwaters for perch and panfish. We keep going back every year. We are staying at a different place Jill has further down the river this year due to a wedding in the area.

So Glad you love my place Can't wait to have you stay in the New rental this year!!!!!! See you soon!
Jill's place was simply great, super clean, roomy, stocked with everything we needed. We rented both upper and lower level. Highly recommended will stay again in the near future. Thank You Jill for being a wonderful host!
We were spending days on River so being close to Lansing was great. Property was very clean and well stocked. Jill (owner) was very responsive to questions.
It's a nice place to stay. Only big issue was not being able to change the thermostat. I understand her explanation but it was a very very VERY hot stay. At least the downstairs had ceiling fans but not the upstairs.

Yida I am sorry you were unhappy with the A/C how ever had you not tampered with the thermostat the A/C would have ran as specified by my HVAC service company When you turned the fan on to the funance and did not leave it on auto only the fan on the furnance ran for the entire weekend not the A/C that is why the upstairs unit was warm.... If you had let it set to auto the A/C would have cooled the unit. I did not discover that you had switched the setting until I came in to clean the unit on Monday.
Rented both levels. Absolutely love that there is an inside staircase that gives you access to the lower apartment. My kids were able to go downstairs to their grandparents apartment without having to go outside. Everything was very clean and stocked well. The town itself is very small and has limited shopping but if you go over the bridge into Lansing IA there are more stores. Kids thought it was hilarious that we had to leave the state to get groceries lol! If I’m ever in the area again I’ll definitely choose this place!
This was a very nice 5 bedroom, pet friendly property. We had everything we needed, and it was easy to get hold of Jill. We had 7 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. We grilled and had fire each night.

So much room, very clean and everything we needed was provided!
Loved staying here during the Cabelas National Team Championship Tournament! The house has tons of space and wr loved being right there on Pool 9. There was more than enough room to park our teams’ trucks and boats and Jill was super accommodating and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. Thanks again Jill!!!

Annul getaway weekend
Very clean. Ample room for 6 people. Variety of entertainment in vicinity even though we were there during the flooding and did not get to do what we had originally intended. Owner friendly and helpful. Would recommend to other people.

Phenomenal!!
I grew up in this house and Jill has done an amazing job restoring it to what is 0s and never have we found one so well stocked with anything and everything possible to make your stay easier. Pots and pans, firewood, soap, even toothpaste and toothbrushes if you need them. The home is very clean well maintained. I just can't say enough good things about this owner and her property.

Another great stay
We only stayed one night on this trip. This was our first stay in the lower apartment. Just like the upper apartment everything is brand new. The apartment is clean, spacious, easy access, a large TV, wireless internet and close to so many fun activities.
We will return.
Thanks Jill for the great accommodations.
See you in September.

A great place to stay.
This is a very large rental with spacious rooms. Everything is brand new and high quality. We loved our four night stay in the upper apartment and wish we could stay longer. We were here for a few days of fishing and did very well. Our first day we caught almost 60 bass, walleyes and northerns. There are numerous options for boat launches. So much fun. This is close to many great restaurants or stay at the rental and make your own meals on the grill or firepit or in the large kitcken. It is just a short ride across the river to Lansing, Iowa. Explore the area and see all of the great spots that make this one of our favorites.
We will return.
Soon.
I hope

Why they chose this property
This unique property has a great deal of history with a commercial fish market being housed in the bunkhouse building. It also was the former location of a Dance Hall. There is a great picture of the Dance Hall in both levels of the property.
