Wonderful location and apartment. Host was easily to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again. Would recommend ear plugs or a noise machine for during the night. The people that live above this unit are very loud and kept us up multiple nights stomping around and making loud noises- some nights until 3-4am. Otherwise, this place is wonderful. Everything is as pictured.

Great Location

The apartment is as the pictures show. It is really in a nice / easy location and we were very happy with it. It was about a 5 minute walk to the M1 subway line and from there you could get anywhere. Notre Dame was about an 8 minute walk. One block away there are 5-6 restaurants and if you go 2-3 blocks there are more than 20. The apartment was very clean and the bathroom was quite modern.

Convenience!

The attention to detail in this apartment made our extended holiday so much more enjoyable. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Having a floor fan for nighttime helped to cool off the room for sleep and drowning out unfamiliar street noise. Cecile's recommendations fro places to eat and shop were perfect. The location is fantastic for sightseeing and walking Paris. We highly recommend using Chafik (ask Cecile to help organize) for transport to and from the airport. One note of warning; the apartment is located on the third floor and there is no lift. The stairs are very narrow, so if your bags are heavy or large, this could be extremely difficult. Chafik was an angel and helped with our bags. We would stay in this apartment again.

Truly a Delight

The apartment was absolutely lovely in a very lively neighborhood. The apartment was exactly as pictured and there are many great cafes within steps of the entrance. Hotel de Ville station is a short walk and very convenient for accessing the metro. We had a wonderful month long stay. Thank you Cecile!

What A GREAT Paris Apartment!

My husband and I have a VRBO that we rent out so we're hyper critical, especially when it comes to giving 5 stars. The reason I give 5 stars for this is you cannot get a better apartment for the price. AND I'm not really grading on a scale here, the place is better, and more spacious than the pix. It's light and bright. It has AC but the windows do a great job and bringing in the air. It's modern in furnishings yet old in building which is super cool. The windy stairs to get up are just fine, just watch out when you've been out and about for some vino! Not recommended for people who have mobile issues. The kitchen is tiny but well appointed, has everything you need for your stay because let's face it, you're eating in Paris. The bathroom looks new and lovely. Plenty of closet space and plenty of bedroom space. My husband and I were able to do our workouts up there! On a side note, I like it when I don't feel like I've displaced someone in their apartment. This was that type of place, clearly used for VRBO. We love the Marais so we love this location. Super simple, super clean, super modern, super all around. Thanks Cecile! We'll be back!

Great apartment in excellent location

The apartment had everything you could need and was very clean when we checked in. The Marais neighborhood is fantastic for exploring the city and there are several Metro stops nearby. I would definitely recommend this apartment to a couple or small family. The pull out couch bed was very good.

Perfect pied-à-terre

We loved this apartment for our 3 night stay in Paris. Just what we needed: comfortable, everything we needed, with space to relax, and all stylishly decorated. It's exactly as the pictures depicted - perhaps even a little larger than we thought! Apart from a few very minor niggles, which we've advised the owner, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. As and when we return, we'd happily stay here again.

A very nice option for Paris

We had an excellent experience with this property. Cecile is a good man who communicates thoroughly, efficiently, and effectively and does what he says he will do. The apartment was clean, neat, and enjoyable, with comfortable bed and pull-out couch. The location is outstanding for tourists like us, 3 minute walk to Hotel du Ville Metro station with bakery on corner, small grocer down the street, and several restaurants immediately nearby. The apartment is on the 3rd floor, and noise from the street was not objectionable at all. Yes, the stair is a narrow winding stair but this isn't a big deal if known (we did). The kitchen was a nice convenience, as was the clothes washer and dryer. The dryer requires a long time to dry clothes, which you should know, but it's effective for small loads. Cecile has arranged for the phone in the apartment to be available toll free for local calls as well as calls to land lines in some other countries (like US), which is great. I had expected built-in air conditioning based on my (incorrect) understanding. Instead, there are portable/floor-standing units upstairs and downstairs with exhaust hoses that must be stuck outside the respective window and the window sashes tied together. There is a gap and cool air escapes, which struck me as objectionable initially but it was effective so I can't really say that it's a problem. Cecile has a great driver named Phillipe who is a very nice man and dependable; we used for out airport return early AM and recommend. I believe you will be very pleased with this apartment for your time in Paris.

Very well maintained flat and location couldn't have been better.

This is a very nice place, and well maintained. The location is also outstanding. Easy walk to major sites and public transportation options. Bakery across street excellent too. Owner very responsive and helpful.

Die Wohnung ist sehr geschackvoll eingerichtet. Das Badezimmer ist ganz neu saniert. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Auch vier Personen finden ausreichend Platz in dieser Ferienwohnung. Die Lage im Marais ist einzigartig, ganz in der Nähe des Centre Pompidou und völlig zentral zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Cosy and comfortable

For our winter stay the apartment was cosy stylish secure and comfortable with all modern amenities. It is centrally located with boulangerie just across the street and many great cafes and interesting shops in the neighbourhood. Guests are very well looked after by Cecile and her driver who are both very professional.

Exceptional stay

Overall, this was an exceptional stay in Paris. The apartment was perfect for a couple with a small child, everything was clean, well taken care of and the apartment was in an excellent location. The apartment is in fantastic condition and well taken care of. Modern with a vintage twist. It is a definite repeat!

It Really Is Close to Everything

This is a great property that really is close to everything. We spent a weekend in Paris as part of our honeymoon and we were very happy with this place. Location was great. It is located next to a lot of small cafes so there are many options for food. There was a grocery store near by for snacks and supplies. And a lot of good attractions within walking distance. We were able to walk to Notre Dame in 10 minutes or so. Took about 15 or 20 minutes to get to Louvre. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable. Even though the street below is very busy, the windows do a great job of blocking out all noise. Bed is comfortable as well. Cecile's recommendations for shopping and places to eat were excellent. I would recommend using Chafik if you are given the option. The stairs to get to the apartment are narrow and take some getting used to. It is probably easier to have him carry your bags up and down the stairs upon arrival and departure. Overall, this place is perfect. I will be back again!

Could Not Have Asked for Anything More!!

My wife and I just returned from a week in Paris staying at the Marias Delight. The apartment was better than the listing and we enjoyed every second of our trip. The apartment's location was perfect and the neighborhood was so charming. You could walk anywhere with ease as well as very close to a metro station. The apartment was super clean with all amenities at your fingertips. When we return to Paris will will definitely stay at this apartment again. Cecile was available for any questions we had throughout the process. Thank you for everything!!

Perfect Apartment in le Marais

We loved this apartment! It is very well appointed and well taken care of. The bed was incredibly comfortable and it was nice having an ensuite bathroom with a tub. Lots of hot water and great water pressure. It is in a perfect location, close to many restaurants and bars. This is our third time staying at one of Cecile's apartments and she is very easy to deal with. Her apartments are beautifully maintained and exactly as advertised. We can't wait to come back again.

My wife and I have stayed in Le Mariais in september for a week for the last 12 years. After trying different places we found Cecille's lovely apartment and booked it. When we arrived it was exactly as shown in the photos, very cute and perfectly clean and neat. Its great having the separate bedroom and bathroom upstairs. This area in Paris is so close to everything and really gives you a perfect impression of the 'real Paris'.. there are restaurants everywhere and its virtually surrounded by Paris's sites and amazing places to see. Highly recommend this property.

A wonderful Delight!

I have stayed in this apartment once before. It is very comfortable. I like that the bedroom is upstairs. After enjoying our days out and about it Paris, it was lovely to come home to the hugh windows opening to a beautiful street, the very comfortable Living Room. We had our breakfast and went over our purchases at the dining table, which was our spot to spend time going over our days. A simple table became filled with lovely memories. The location is perfect. I find it to be the best location in Paris. So close to St Paul metro and Hotel de Ville metro. You have to like stairs, it is 3 floors up and the bedroom is upstairs. The corner bakery was perfect for coffee. The famous Tea Shop is up the street. The corner cafe is great for dinners and the best Pizza is at San Antonio across the street!

Very charming, well appointed flat in the heart of the Marais

My husband, two children (ages 10 and 7) and I rented this flat for 4 nights at the end of August. First, Cecile was an absolute pleasure to deal with for the rental. She responds quickly, her English is excellent and she is professional and organized. The apartment was exactly as described and pictured. She had a laminated information booklet ready for us that explained everything we needed to know about the apartment including the washer/dryer and A/C unit in addition to extensive information on transportation, restaurants, things to do, etc. The apartment itself is quite charming. There is a living room, dining room and small kitchen area downstairs and upstairs there is a large bedroom with a king size (or European equivalent) bed and modern, nice bathroom. The apartment is clearly cared for and cleaned in a meticulous fashion. The A/C worked very well as it was quite hot 3 of our 4 nights. The apartment is well located in the Marais. There's a fantastic boulangerie on the corner, a grocery store on the same block and all the wonderful restaurant and retail options that are abundant in this arrondissement. It is easy walking distance to Notre Dame, the Latin Quarter and the metro. In sum, a wonderful experience all around. I would highly recommend this apartment and certainly recommend booking with Cecile. We will definitely rent from her again when we are back. One final recommendation - use Cecile's suggested driver, Chafik. He is excellent and his help was very appreciated with carrying our suitcases up the narrow staircase.

Le Marais is my favorite part of Paris. I've always loved hanging on in the charming streets of this area, and feel like if I was in a cute little village. There are plenty of fancy restaurants and cafes, trendy shops and art galleries, open markets, and above all, it's so close to every thing that you want to see or visit when you're in Paris. This apartment is rented on long term only.

What makes this property unique

The apartment is very spacious thanks to its two floors and no lost space, and it has also lots of charm thanks to its old beams. It is air conditioned. The location can't be beaten. Down the building stands a cute little square with trees, benches, and several tasty restaurants. In the very street, you'll find a delicious bakery, a grocery store open everyday, 4 restaurants, one art gallery, etc...
