This is a beautiful house with beautiful decor! The beds were comfortable, awesome showers, and clean. Would definitely stay here again! Matthew has created a great VRBO.

The property was very nice and as described. Host communication is practically non-existent. I had to contact the host to get the check in directions. Fire alarm went off the first night we were there. I tried to call the host and had to leave a voicemail. He didn't respond until the middle of the next day. I changed the dates well before the deadline, shortening our stay by 1 night. The host didn't refund that night's cost. He stated that he didn't know how. When I called vrbo support they said the host has to do that. They have tried to call and email him (and so have I) multiple times and get no response. Weeks after my stay, and I'm still trying to get my money refunded.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but there were a few things future guests should be aware of. The home is located on a street that becomes very busy at times. This made getting multiple vehicles in and out of the driveway somewhat challenging. Also, the driveway is steep which added to the difficulty.The kitchen could have been better stocked with basic items such as kitchen towels—we weren't able to find any during our stay. Additional bath towels would also have been appreciated. There was only enough toilet paper for the weekend, and we had to move rolls between bathrooms to make sure each one had enough.One of the lower-level bedrooms was hot because it did not have air conditioning, making it unusable. While the central AC was blowing cold air, the upstairs as a whole stayed quite warm. Ceiling fans or additional standing fans would have helped circulate the air, as only one upstairs bedroom had an oscillating fan.The home also has several changes in floor height between rooms, so guests should be cautious when walking through the house until they become familiar with the layout. Finally, we encountered multiple spiders during our stay.These are relatively minor issues but addressing them would make the property much more comfortable for future guests.

Matthew’s house was large, clean and beautifully decorated. Our family group of 8 fit comfortably in his home. Although we did not cook, the kitchen has everything you could need It is conveniently located in KC and we had a wonderful time. Matthew was friendly and accommodating.
