This memorable apartment is the perfect home base for your trip to Charleston. Located behind the historic Edmondston / Alston House Museum. Guests will find a serene space with a kitchenette / living room, as well as two bedrooms and two baths located on the 2nd floor. Very comfortable for 4 adults traveling together. Comfortable climate control, heating and air conditioning. Off street parking for one car. (sorry, no trucks or vans as they will not fit) Access to the Museum's ground floor piazza after the museum closes. With in walking distance to incredible restaurants, and the historic downtown area for sightseeing. Deluxe continental breakfast items pre-stocked in the kitchenette as well as coffee and tea. This awesome spot is the best address in Charleston. A great place to call homebase while you're away,

Gorgeous Inn. Great location. The host made us delicious crustless quiche, Banana bread and muffins. Fridge stocked with essential breakfast food and coffee. Two large bedrooms and large bathrooms. Would definitely book this property again.

Julie was there to greet us upon our arrival. Made the check in process seamless and even had fresh muffins waiting for us and a quick breakfast made for the following morning. Location was perfect, walking distance to everything. Excellent choice and highly recommended!

This property is amazing!! The Inn Keeper is such a perk- Julie is warm and inviting- value add!! I highly recommend. Awesome location, beautiful building and grounds - very welcoming!

Perfect spot to enjoy Charleston! Close to restaurants, shopping, the water. Opportunity to enjoy a historic home, up close and personal. Julie is a fabulous hostess and her baked treats were a wonderful surprise.

First...the check in process had some hiccups BECAUSE OF ME! I was confused between South and East ___ St, and Julie had to talk me through finding the property. We all had a good laugh. The property was lovely, immaculate and the goodies for breakfast were delicious. Julie answered every text or call immediately. The property is in a very walkable and close to dining and shopping. The historic neighborhood was so much fun to wander around. All in all...perfectly marvelous stay.

Beautiful historic property! Well maintained, clean, and comfortable. Julie is very responsive and helpful. Checkin/checkout process was easy. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening (after museum was closed) and watching the thunder and lightening storm. This was definitely an experience staying in the heart of the historic Battery in Charleston. One parking spot off street.

Excellent property, the host was amazing. The tour of the museum was extremely interesting. Favorite was quiche/breakfast casseroles and bakery items daily. We only ate out 1 meal a day. Very quiet and serene. Reccomend only those who can navigate stairs safely. 2 bedrooms are on second floor. My 80 year old mother had challenges but it all worked out.

If you have an appreciation for historical properties this is a great place to stay! The innkeeper, Julie, was prompt to respond to communications and very helpful to help get us oriented to the area. The rooms were all very clean and plenty of towels were provided. I strongly recommend you read the notices provided about how to have a nice warm shower. ( hot water has a long line of pipes to travel so it takes a minte) Water pressure was great, beds were comfortable and pillows were fresh and comfortable. Be aware that steps to the second floor where bedrooms and bathrooms are located are steep and narrow. I would not recommend this location for anyone with trouble with balance on stairs. Overall, I would recommend this location.

The hostess was so communicative and helpful. The place was very clean and charming and the location couldn’t be more perfect! We had beautiful views of the harbor and easy walking to plenty of restaurants and shopping. The hostess restocked a variety of fresh homemade breakfast items and baked goods daily and was so sweet and accommodating of one of our gluten free family members.

As frequent visitors to Charleston, we were looking for a unique experience when it came to booking our accommodations, and this property delivered. We had previously toured the Edmondston-Alston house and were pleasantly surprised we could stay on the beautiful property. The location is perfect and walkable to all of downtown. The hostess was wonderful in every aspect, and the accommodations were updated and clean, while keeping the character and charm of this historic gem. We had a wonderful stay!

Absolutely fantastic stay. Julie is one of the best hosts I have encountered. She met us, gave us a quick tour of our space and was off. The location is amazing, right across from Charleston Harbor. Easy walking every where. I would definitely stay here again. It's so clean, comfortable, well decorated, comfortable beds and delicious treats for breakfast!

We loved our Inn Keeper, Julie. She left us fruit, coffee and homemade sweet treats. The bedrooms were beautifully appointed, the bathrooms clean and roomy. The location cannot be beat, right on the battery, easy walking through the cobblestone streets into town. We got a free tour of the main house and learned the fascinating history of the owners going back 200 years. A secret gem in the heart of Charleston.

Absolutely fabulous! Julie met us and explained everything. She stocked the kithen with delicious homeade banana bread and 2 different quiches! Other items, yogurt, juice, milk, coffee, tea and fruit were provided as well. Fresh coffee cake was delivered on our 2nd day! The location can't be beat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Tickets to tour the home/museum next door are included.

A lovely welcome, very clean and Julie had ready homemade delicious food as well as making sure she was available for anything needed. I would recommend this stay and hostess Julie to anyone! It is the fantastic location, quiet is close to everything.The guest quarters we stayed in was an independent apartment and has much historic value and history.Limitations only include that for young children and persons less mobile the steps are steep, but worked well for us! It’s clear that great thoughtfulness goes into this rental property and accommodations for guests.

It is kind of hard to tell from the listing, but this is a great place to rent. We rented the 2 bedroom. It is historic (originally part of the kitchen to one of the most prominent mansions on the waterfront and near the battery). It is a great location right on the waterfront and boardwalk. It's a 5 minute walk to the rainbow houses and maybe 10 minutes from the market and top restaurants. It has a minimal kitchen, but the property manager brings breakfast (muffins or bread and quiche) that kept the 4 of us well fed. We would finitely rent this again when we go to Charleston.
