Loved the cottage. So quaint Reminded of visiting family when I was a a kid Very guiet. Property owner was awesome. Loved everything he has done with the cottage. Hope to return.
This was a great property! Easy to find and so incredibly close to all the sights you would want to explore in Brevard.
We truly enjoyed our time at this property! Highly recommend for your next visit to white squirrel country.
We loved staying in the house. I read on the porch porch each morning, and my husband & son really enjoyed playing guitar. The host was very accommodating when we decided to come in one day earlier than expected. The house was just perfect for our family.
My husband and I came up for a weekend of mountain biking and can’t wait to come back with the kids. Convenient location and cozy, well appointed cottage.
We had a wonderful time. Property was clean and had everything we needed. Located in a quiet little area, but close to town. This was our second stay at this house and would definitely stay again.
Brennan's cabin is cozy and quiet. Close to downtown but nestled in a quiet hillside neighborhood. We enjoyed restaurants and strolling downtown, as well as hiking and exploring in Dupont Forest
My husband and I have stayed here twice for our wedding anniversaries and we love it! We want to come back every year. The cabin is very easy to get to and close to downtown. It has everything you’d need and it is very clean. We love sitting on the front porch in the morning!
We love the big front porch and the quiet woodland setting of this cozy cottage. It’s a quiet neighborhood with lots of trees so we enjoyed hearing the birds both in the morning and at dusk. The beds are super comfortable and the Brevard and the Pisgah are just a few minutes away.
We enjoyed Brevard and the dining experiences. Perfect location to get to amazing waterfall and mountain views with the Dupont and Pisgah Forests in the backyard. We spotted the white squirrels everyday. We will return!
We enjoyed our stay at this little farmhouse. It’s close to town and convenient to Pisgah, DuPont, and the Blueridge Pkwy. It’s not fancy but that’s not what we were looking for. The white 🐿 and deer were delightful as I sat on the front porch sipping coffee.
We spent 2 nights here. The property had everything we needed and the decor was very nice. My only complaint is the the window treatments are all very sheer and there was no window covering over the window in the shower. As 2 women staying alone we would have felt a bit more comfortable with more significant window coverings.
Loved everything about this cottage. It’s been thoughtfully restored to keep the 1920s charm, with some unobtrusive updates, like central air/heat and good WiFi. Pisgah, DuPont and Mtn Bridge are all within a half hour drive so it’s a perfect base for hiking/biking. It’s no-frills, but had everything I needed to decompress for a couple of days. FWIW, I felt very safe here and would recommend to other women who travel solo. Looking forward to staying again in the winter and enjoying the stone fireplace!
We had a great time escaping the Eastern NC/SC heat by heading into the mountains for a weekend of hiking and taking in the sights. This property is quietly located a few minutes drive from downtown Brevard NC and close to Pisgah National Forest, Ceasars Head, and a number of of other sights places to visit. Table Rock State Park is about a 45 minute drive.
The cottage was clean, quietly located, and updated. It reminded me of my Grandmothers home in Eastern NC. They don’t make homes like this anymore and it was nice to see one nicely preserved. We would definitely stay again in the fall or spring.
The home is better than pictured, charmingly eclectic and has a very functional use of space. We really enjoyed our stay using the kitchen daily with everything we needed. All the details of the necessities have a creative aspect which made it so fun. The beds are comfy - one of them soft and other firm. We loved the back deck and front porch. We saw 2 white squirrels and countless ladybugs. The neighboring homes are close and visible but we still felt nestled and undisturbed by that. We were in perfect proximity to DuPont, Pisgah and Gorges as well as quaint Brevard. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
I came to Brevard to celebrate my birthday hiking in the woods and swimming at waterfalls. Brennan's cottage was the perfect homebase conveniently located within a decent drive of Pisgah National Forest, DuPont State Recreational Forest, and Gorges State Park as well as right near charming downtown Brevard with all its great shops, restaurants, and bars. The cottage is amazing and I loved the decor. Coffee on that front porch early in the morning is something special. Despite being close to neighbors, it was very quiet and peaceful. My wife and I are planning to return to the area as this was one of our favorite vacations and I hope to book this place again when we return.
My wife's one critique is that she wish there was some sort of glaze or something to the shower window.

I love the ocean and the mountains.
Why they chose this property
It's the perfect cottage for a home base when exploring. I have done many renovations to the cottage since purchasing it and hope you will enjoy it as much as I do!
What makes this property unique
I love the front porch swing and back deck, the original hardwood floors and fireplace are also just as wonderful (built in 1928). Simple and understated. Gas grill is great for BBQs in the spring and summer. Amazing locale - steps away from any outdoor adventure you wish to partake in.
