4. Floors: ensure no food, wrappers, bottles, cans, gum, or sticky residue are left behind. 5. Lock both doors and turn off A/C units. (In cold weather, the fireplace heater knob may be left on “3.”

Room wasn’t ready when we got there at 5pm. The entrance is super sketchy and the stairs to go up are not up to code. They live downstairs and were smoking weed and you can smell it upstairs. I left some unopened brand new groceries and drinks in the fridge when we left, and they kept my deposit saying I left “excessive trash”. Trash being the groceries I thought they’d like to have. Any excuse to keep my deposit.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that the security deposit was not withheld due to a few unopened grocery items. The deduction was related to multiple violations of the house rules, including excessive trash left throughout the unit, food and other items left behind, and the property being left unsecured upon checkout. Our house rules, which are provided prior to arrival, clearly request that guests remove their belongings and food items and ensure all doors are locked when departing. We were also surprised by this review, as during your stay you expressed that you were enjoying the property and did not report many of the concerns mentioned here. Had any issues been brought to our attention, we would have gladly worked to address them. We strive to provide a clean, comfortable, and safe stay for all guests and appreciate all feedback that helps us continue improving.

I personally feel the place wasn’t cleaned as they stated. And I didn’t stay, I stated my concerns. And told them I would not stay and left. If you washed dishes, please don’t leave a wet used towel to reuse. And that’s only one issue
