This cottage is so nice. It has wonderful lake views and is nestled in the woods. The lake is so close that when we had the windows open we could hear the lapping of the lake water on the rocks. The lake is great for swimming as well.
We loved waking up to every morning the sounds and being able to be out over the lake. The cottage was sitting out on rocks over the shoreline. I enjoyed listening to the Loons every evening along with the beauty of a full moon shining over the lake. Christina the manager was great she answered all my questions quickly and very personable. Thanks again for a great 2 weeks!!!!! FYI...our 3 dogs loved swimming in the lake every day. Sincerely, Barb
Being fully vaccinated, we were Moore than ready to vacation. This location was perfect for us. Loved the ducks, geese and chipmunk who visited us each morning. We were able to easily explore an extended area. We are considering this location for a future family reunion.
The Rocky Point cottage was absolutely spotless when we arrived. It's old, original Maine style summer place and that is a charm of it. Our dog Peanut absolutely loves the place and the beach like we do as well.
Christine is very easy to contact and there hasn't been any problem.

About the host
Hosted by Christina Pinkham
Lakehurst has been in operation as a family business on the coast of Maine since the early 1920’s. After a brief period as “Camp Pemaquid”, a boys’ summer camp, the original cottages were converted into all-seasonal rentals for those seeking a lakeside retreat. The property has been in the Pinkham family for over 4 generations. Today, Dan and Ann Pinkham, along with their sons Dan Jr., Jon, and Josh, own and operate Lakehurst Properties LLC.
Why they chose this property
The peaceful setting at Lakehurst includes a private, safe, and shallow natural sand beach oasis that is ideal for swimming, sunbathing , spending quiet afternoons reading a book and relaxing with the family.
What makes this property unique
Pemaquid Lake offers over 15 miles of water for fishing and exploration with access by boat to Biscay Pond, Duck Puddle Pond, and the Pemaquid River. There is excellent fishing throughout the watershed for pickerel, perch, brown trout and bass. Beautiful and historic downtown Damariscotta is only minutes away where you can experience a vibrant mix of unique shops, community services, fine dining, the Lincoln Theatre and many artists’ galleries. Located near the head of the Damariscotta River, twelve miles from the ocean, Damariscotta is a key focal point for mid coast Maine residents and visitors. The town is the gateway to the Pemaquid Region which includes popular historical attractions such as the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse and the colonial restoration at Fort William Henry, and also provides a great jumping off point to the entire Maine Coast including islands like Monhegan. We look forward to hosting you and your family for a true “Maine Experience”!
