A carefree vacation with spectacular lake and mountain views! Bernard’s Landing is a 70 acre waterfront resort with year round activities for the entire family. Smith Mountain Lake boasts 500 miles of shoreline surrounding the 22,000 acres of sparkling fresh water. Bernard’s Landing is on a peninsula, surrounded by water, offering lush green open spaces and spectacular amenities that are unmatched at Smith Mountain Lake.

This 1154 sq. ft. freshly painted end unit condo features a roomy 2 bedroom, 2 bath retreat with updated décor. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, dishwasher and plenty of counter space. New for 2025 are brand new LVP floors!!! In 2024 we installed high-speed internet, a new electric fireplace, a new patio set and a new washer & dryer! In previous years, a new kitchen faucet, garbage disposal & complete under-the-cabinet lighting were added. Additionally, improved overhead lighting in the hallways & living room and a totally renovated & awesome Master bathroom were completed! A 55" flat screen TV in the LR, along with very comfortable sofas & top-end leather recliner, will ensure that you will happily relax while watching a favorite show. Each spacious & peacefully decorated bedroom has a very comfortable bed, with luxurious comforters & plenty of storage for your belongings. The Queen bedroom has a 47" flat screen TV! The master bedroom offers a luxurious king-size bed and en suite bathroom. The Master bedroom also has a 55" smart flat screen TV and a twin sofa bed. (We would allow one additional small child, age 5 or under, to stay overnight on this sofa-bed, for a total maximum occupancy of 5 people (this sofa bed may not be moved out of the Master Bedroom). A person over the age of 3 is considered to be an adult per Franklin County Occupancy purposes.

The space
Our desire is to offer each guest a wonderful experience for the best value. We go the extra mile to ensure that the condo is VERY clean and well-maintained. Kitchen cabinets are fully stocked with all the cookware, a wide variety of spices, place settings & flatware that you will need to make your gourmet (or not so gourmet) meals. In addition, there is plenty of space for all your groceries. We provide liquid hand soap, shampoo, body wash, a blow dryer and starter supplies of toilet paper & some basic consumables. Pillows, blankets, bath, hand towels & washcloths are provided. Don't forget to bring your own beach towels. Please let us know if you would like to use a Pak n Play or a high chair. We can provide one free of charge!

Bernard's Landing has a reputation for being Smith Mountain Lake's Premier Resort, with Southern Living, The Laker & The Roanoker magazines voting it "best place to stay"! Napoli at the Lake is our new favorite place to eat in all of the Smith Mtn. Lake area – and it’s less than a 5 minute walk! Also at this waterfront restaurant is a full service bar for great snacks and nibbles. Many other wonderful restaurants are a short drive by car or boat – but we find all we want right outside our door! For more complete grocery shopping, Kroger Grocery Store is less than 8 miles away, at the Westlake Center, along with other shops & a movie theatre.
Complimentary amenities that you may use (an Amenity Pass is provided for your stay) include an Indoor Pool & Hot Tub, an Olympic-sized outdoor pool at the Clubhouse and a second outdoor pool by the Highlands building. Our condo has a lovely view of the lake & is very centrally located, with a very short stroll on relatively flat lawn to almost everything! The Clubhouse has a fitness center, racquetball court, steam room & sauna. There are also 4 tennis courts, 6 pickle ball courts, a basketball court and a dreamy, sandy beach with tiki umbrellas. We offer racquets & other toys for you to use while you are here. No need to worry about packing ALL your toys for your family's vacation!
Smith Mountain Lake is Virginia’s Premier fishing lake! Fish right off our docks or long shoreline at the resort, rent a boat, or charter a fishing trip. There are many Convenience Docks around the resort for you to tie up your boat during your stay, along with on on-site Boat Launch & trailer storage. There are also on-site Rental Shacks where you can arrange rental of a boat, jet ski, canoe or SUP. The only thing needed for a fun-filled & unforgettable vacation making lasting memories, is...YOU! GOLFERS can play at the Copper Cove Golf Club as well as other nearby courses such as Blue Hills & Hanging Rock in Roanoke.
Interaction with guests
When you arrive at our vacation retreat, you will enter using a keyless digital lock which you can access with a code we provide before check-in. Parking for 1 car is directly at the front of the unit. Overflow parking for 2 additional cars is in the lot behind the building. The garage is not available to guests. Trailers must be parked in the Security Parking Lot. Decals for boats/PWC can be purchased at the Office or the Security Office.
