About the host
Hosted by Bola Akinsanya
Born in Nigeria, I've lived in many parts of the world. San Francisco is home for me and my husband and two kids. I am Director of Guest Services for Airbnb and have hosted on and off for the last 12 years. Design and hospitality are my passion and I am excited to share our Sea Ranch and Cape Cod homes with you --- which are the culmination of all our learnings. It is our home away from home and we hope you love and cherish it like we do!
Why they chose this property
Sea Ranch is such a beautiful and special place. We selected our property because we wanted a private experience that truly felt secluded and special. We are just 5 minutes from the lodge so we have a unique experience of easy access to cocktail hour and whale watching from the lodge back deck, but then a hot tub session under the night stars or mid day without a million people walking by.
What makes this property unique
Don Jacobs, AIA award winner is the original architect. We love the experience of a Ryokan 70s bathhouse and drew inspiration as we incorporated the colors and experience from the outside into the inside of the home. We also have 2 kids and wanted to make the space kid friendly while not overwhelming for when we have girls trips and guys trips without the kids. In all, people are shocked by the sunset, ocean sounds from the back deck, and peak-a-boo ocean views from the loft and stairs. You are immersed in a redwood forest and there is no other way to describe how special it is other than to experience it.
