TRANSIT:
Getting here is easy. We’re located about 35 minutes from Quepos Airport and 35 minutes from Matapalo Beach. The off-road drive is on a level, well-maintained gravel road. A 4x4 is not a must but higher clearance vehicle is probably easier. Free parking is available on-site. We’ll send detailed directions before your arrival, and we’re always available if you need help finding us.
We live on the farm just a short distance from the campsite, so once you’re here, we’re always just a shout out away if you have any questions or need anything.
Quepos Airport is just 35 minute drive and it's a short 30 minute flight from here to San Jose International Airport.
If you'd rather take the bus, the Tracopa bus terminal at Quepos city center is just 35 minutes away and offers reliable transport to anywhere within Costa Rica, local or express. It's roughly 3.5 bus ride to San Jose Airport.
If you need a ride from Quepos or Dominical areas, we can sometimes arrange to pick you up for a $60 charge. Schedule at least two days in advance to guarantee availability.
NOTES & HOUSE RULES:
Niflaot Ranch is a farmstead with a surrounding jungle. This means we take care of the environment and we're aware that we're surrounded by the nature creatures that live around us. It was their home before it was ours, and hopefully they'll never leave.
Please recycle all garbage in the bins provided. If you're not sure of anything, ask us.
Do NOT leave any open food outside.
Do NOT feed any of the animals on the farm.
Pack appropriately: bring closed shoes, deet-free bug repellent, any antihistamine and any other medications you might need, flashlight, hat; and be ready to encounter wild-er creatures such as spiders, snakes, cougars or pumas. These encounters are very rare but possible, especially if you're out and about at night.
IMPORTANT: NO PETS, NO SERVICE ANIMALS: Our farm is home to a variety of animals, including two very large dogs that are friendly with people but territorial with outside animals. For everyone's safety and comfort we’re unable to host any pets NOR service animals.
Guests who arrive with animals in violation of this policy will have their reservation canceled upon arrival, and will be turned away at the door, no exceptions. Thank you for understanding and respecting this policy.
