About this property
Escape to your Private Spider Lake Retreat
A peaceful get-away that's close to everything that Traverse City, Michigan, has to offer. This cozy furnished studio cottage is nestled right on the water with your own dock just steps away. Take a morning boat ride or just cast a line directly from the floating platform dock...pure peace, no crowds, no shared areas, just nature doing its thing. For our winter guests: ice fishing is very popular on Spider Lake with snowmobiling trails starting across the street, just offload your trailer at the property and ride off for close by gas stations, restaurants/bars and trails. Yes, there is space for parking your trailer at the property. For our summer guests: boating, swimming, grilling, pontoon boats and sometimes just sitting on the dock are popular on Spider Lake. Wave to the passerby’s and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. There are multiple nature walking paths within a couple of miles (Brown Bridge Quiet Area and ORV/biking and walking trails right across the street. Bring your trails map and your mountain bike or hiking shoes and leave right from this property. Most importantly, get outside and have fun! Downtown Traverse City is only 10 minutes away for wineries, Lake Michigan beaches, restaurants, outdoor music, shopping, etc. If you want to get out but stay close, Peegeo’s is a local favorite only a few miles away with quaint bar feel and awesome pizza, wings and more. Don’t forget Sleeping Bear Dunes and local festivals including National Cherry Festival (7/4-7/11), Suttons Bay Art Festival (1st weekend in August), Northwestern Michigan Fair (mid-August), Cedar Polka Fest, and Buckley Old Engine Show (8/13-8/16), just to name a few.
