The house was very clean, the host easy to contact and very responsive. The bunk beds were not at a height that could be slept in, but there was an air mattress available for use.

Floor was dirty upon arrival along with the toilet in the upstairs bathroom. The lower level electric pin lock did not work so unable to use that entrance during our stay. The upstairs entrance pin lock was only at 2% and then I was asked my the manager if I was ok leaving the house unlocked while we left for the day until he could come on Saturday to change the batteries. This request was very unsettling to me and my daughter. I was told that the lock needed 9V batteries and that there was some in the closet upstairs if I felt comfortable changing it myself. This is not something that you even suggest to someone who is paying to stay. This is all under the responsibility of the manager/owner. I spent all morning trying to figure all this out with him on Friday which made my day very stressful. Then on Saturday he text me at 7:09am to ask when I would be out on Sunday. That is not an appropriate time to start contacting someone. Also, if check out is noon then that is when it is regardless if before. I will not stay at this place again. The manager was very kind, I will say that. I think it is just new and there is some inexperience involved. It was a nice place and not in a bad area. It was all re-done inside so you could smell the paint and there was a lot paint splatter on the floors in all the rooms. I think it was finished in a hurry from how it looked. The manager was very kind and let me know that my daughter had left her bag there so I could come pick it up.

First, I want to apologize that a few items during your arrival did not meet the high standard we aim to provide. We take cleanliness and guest comfort very seriously, and your comments regarding the floor and upstairs bathroom were addressed immediately with our cleaning team to reinforce our final inspection process.
Regarding the keypad lock, the battery level unexpectedly dropped shortly before your arrival. While we attempted to offer a quick interim solution until we could replace the battery in person, we understand that guests should not have to deal with maintenance items during their stay. Since then, all locks have been serviced and added to our routine turnover checklist to ensure they are fully operational for every arrival.
The home was recently renovated, and we appreciate the note about some finishing details such as paint splatter and the fresh paint smell. Those items are already being addressed as part of our post-renovation touch-ups so the home reflects the level of quality we expect for our guests.
I also appreciate your kind words about our communication and am glad we were able to help quickly when your daughter’s bag was left behind.
