Elk View at Tahoe is a luxury 6-bedroom home that we think you’ll fall in love with.
Elk View has over 3400 square feet of vaulted ceilings, radiant-heated tile, and carpet. There is one outdoor hot tub and two indoor jetted tubs to relax in.
Bringing the kids? Each of the 6 bedrooms has its own LCD HD TV! The downstairs game room features a 55-inch LCD TV, a full-sized pool table, a 3 in 1 dining/poker/bumper table, and a stand-up classic arcade video game with over 120 games. We recently added a new, 70-inch HD LCD TV to the Great Room - enjoy the big game or watch a family movie on a cold winter night with the fire blazing away.
There is a granite wet bar with a wine refrigerator to keep your tasty drinks in so you don't have to make beverage runs upstairs.
Like granite? The kitchen features all granite counters and the bathrooms use granite on the floors, counters, and shower enclosures. Both fireplaces are wrapped in granite as well.
The great room features a huge leather couch that seats 8, a 70-inch monster flat-screen TV with surround sound throughout, and multiple seating areas. You’ll enjoy the main dining room table that seats 10+ and there’s a built-in kids table that’s close enough to keep an eye on them, but far enough away so you can enjoy your dinner.
Let’s talk about the kitchen. Double ovens are installed to cook for your group, and there are two sinks, one in the center island so you have room to spread out when doing food prep including a kitchen aid mixer for those who want to get in their baking groove. There’s a huge pantry to store your food and all appliances are new, stainless steel models. All dishes, glassware, and utensils have been upgraded and are replaced at the slightest signs of use.
Surrounding Elk View, the lot in front of the home and the two Northern lots next to it are protected California Tahoe Conservancy properties and are wide open for hiking, sledding, and playing in the snow. There are hiking and snow-shoeing trails right down the street and Elk View is just a few minutes away from great restaurants, breweries, casinos, and much more.

I have had a love affair with Lake Tahoe my entire life. Summer fun on the lake, hitting the slopes in the winter, epic hikes & mountain biking in the Spring and Fall. Concerts, casinos, golf, snowmobiling, craft fairs, youth fishing holes, ice skating and Frisbee golf are just some of the fun things to do. There isn't a bad season in what I call Paradise.
Presidents Day Weekend 1985 was the beginning of a tradition that has lasted over 34 years. The annual Ski Trip. It all started with some High School Juniors and an adult mentor at Northstar at Tahoe. As we turned into adults we started staying in South Shore to play at the casinos in addition to the hard-core skiing. Time kept ticking and we started settling down had children and morphed the trip into a family affair. Some of the players have changed but two remained a constant, myself and my friend who I've known since 6th grade. We are now heading into the empty nest phase and are hoping to spend more time in traveling now that we aren't juggling school and sports schedules.

Why they chose this property
I fell in love with this property because it had all the features we sought out for the 28 years we rented. The first requirement: a large great room for everyone to gather but also find nooks to read, puzzle, cook or watch TV. That great room also needed a really really long table for those epic game nights (currently trending is Cards Against Humanity and reverse charades). The second requirement: an equally large room AWAY from the great room where the adults can be adults and the kids/teens can be kids/teens and neither the two shall meet unless we wanted to. The pool & poker tables were a bonus but we added the arcade console because every now and again we need to introduce the classics to the younger generation. Third requirement: Big kitchen with all the amenities. This one required a lot of upgrades. We added pretty much every cooking gadget you can use and replace the pots and pans annually. We kinda like the hot tub a lot as well.
What makes this property unique
A huge 3 car garage and almost flat driveway. Our garage door is so high a full sized SUV can pull in with a Thule box still attached on the roof. The driveway slope is important in the winter when roads get icy and your car starts sliding out of the driveway. Won't happen here!
There are 8 TV's to satisfy everyone's needs. Every rooms has either cable or NetFlix streaming.
Radiant Heated floors throughout the house means toasty toes.
