Our experience here was fantastic. The location was perfect for our large group wanting to do various activities. The place could use some tlc but overall it was great.
We had an amazing stay. Perfect for family reunion with 10 of us in the house. The home was ideally located with a great beach and near a lot of shops and food trucks (very good food!).Definitely needed the AC in the bedrooms most days. The owner needs to finish the work on the kitchen (stove top burner didn't work) and fix the lack of air flow in the home (fans did not go at a high speed - more for decoration than function). We also had a lot of ant issues even after spraying but we made it work. With a few updates, it would be even better!

Best Vacation Ever.
Betty was awesome to work with, answered all of my random questions so fast, and recommended the best local places to go! House is amazing, absolutely want to come back! Thank you Betty & team for an unforgettable vacation!
We celebrated our 40th Anniversary with our family here. The house was great for our family of 12. They had everything we needed in the kitchen including crock pots and an air fryer. We enjoyed the beach, pool and the spacious house. We saw several turtles on the beach and enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets!

PARADISE on the North Shore!
I cannot imagine a better property from where to access the awesome North Shore! Everything we wanted was right at our doorstep including turtles in the surf just outside, Ted’s Bakery a quick walk away, and all the north beaches, ziplining and other activities, and groceries and other supplies within a quick drive!
Betty was great and very attentive! Thanks Betty, our family had an amazing week!

Fantastic Stay
The North Shore of Oahu is a mystical place and this home will not disappoint. You are steps from the beach and legendary surfing. We surfed V-Land and listened to the waves all day and all night. The owner and our host were extremely friendly and very accommodating for our stay. Only regret is that we could not stay longer. We will absolutely be back! Thank you so much!

You gotta come back! Thank you for being great guests! Aloha
We had an amazing and memorable time at this beautiful home on the North Shore. First, the view was truly stunning! Second, the floor plan allowed our family of 10 plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. Third, the amazing surf and the contest close by was an added bonus. Renting bikes and not driving was wonderful; never moved the car! Betty was very easy to work with and always responded quickly! Can't wait to return to paradise!!

We go out of our way to address issues as they come up. Bulbs are replaced and spares are kept in the pantry and the TV is now connected. The hot tub is not operable and is detailed in the listing. Actually has never been operable since the current owners bought the property. We appreciate the feedback.
This home had absolutely everything we needed for a perfect stay on the North Shore. Stunning views, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, comfy and plentiful inside and outside seating and a huge pool and hot tub- which we used every day. Mealtimes were a breeze with a fully stocked kitchen with two sinks, two dishwashers, two ovens, lots of counter space with chairs, and a huge table for everyone to sit. Chris, the caretaker, was an absolute pleasure to work with, even staying up late to greet us when our flights brought us in more than 6 hours late. We often took walks to Ted's Bakery, a popular local spot for breakfast. The laundry room got a workout with little ones in tow-very handy. Very safe location. And while its an impressive place, also very comfortable. PS My wife wrote this and I agree. :-)

Excellent Large Home on the North Shore for Multi Family Stay
Excellent property very well appointed with great views of the ocean and a wonderful pool and sandy ocean beach all in the front yard. Five bedrooms with great views, and a large open kitchen and dining area with large front hallway and game room that is wonderful for large family gatherings. Very well stocked kitchen with everything you will need to cook and entertain including two dishwashers. Main floor laundry room with two washers and two dryers is a strong added benefit. Grocery shopping and fantastic food trucks are very close and just a short drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed the used of this home on the North Shore of Hawaii, and would recommend it for others to enjoy.

Mahalo for your review, JP!!! It's great to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us.
Aloha!
The house is beautiful, the location is great, wonderful view. There were several things in the house needs. Dishwashers need to be replaced, outside furniture could use the updates, very old and yucky. Overall the house was great and communication was very good, however the house needs some TLC thoughout the whole house. The cost would have been More justifiable if house had the TLC that is necessary. The stay was still very enjoyable plenty of room so that family wasn’t butting heads. Thank you very much!!
Location, space, activities - this place has it all.
First, location: the north shore is far from the crowded beaches of Honolulu, but this property is still close to amazing beaches (with snorkeling and surfing depending on your preference), good food (e.g. Pupukea grill, Fumi's, + walking distance to Ted's bakery and a short drive for groceries), and the property, itself, is in a quiet neighborhood where we saw few others on the beach.
Second, space: the house was more than big enough for the 8 of us that stayed there, and we even cooked / served dinner for 18 one night with friends and family. The pool is big enough to swim laps in, and there's plenty of parking - heck, it even has a huge fridge/freezer and two dishwashers.
Third, activities: I already mentioned the pool, but the hot tube is nice, too :). And the beach has it all - it's sandy right in front of the house (good for swimming / playing), but a few yards to the left has awesome coral full of fish and sea turtles that we snorkeled with. Further down the beach, there's great surfing, and the views were amazing.

Fabulous
We had an amazing time. Just looking at the pictures makes me want to return immediately. Three families with kids ranging from 18 months to 18 years had plenty of room. The pool table was used often, the kitchen is well stocked with supplies, towels were plentiful. The two dishwashers and two washing machines and dryers were a blessing. Sitting on the lanai was the perfect location to watch sunrises, sunsets and an occasional rainbow. The "littles" enjoyed watching a family of geckos on the lanai and a variety of tame wildlife. Going from the beach to the pool was the daily routine (with the kids enjoying the sand toys and other amenities). The North Shore is the perfect vacation spot with an occasional jaunt into the little towns for shave ice, or snorkeling at sharks cove. A trek down to Honolulu was fun for more big city activities. This place is special. We can't wait to go back!

We are happy to provide a relaxing home base for your holiday! Hope to see you back soon. Aloha!
Such a fantastic house and the location is amazing! You are literally right on the beach and the pool is fantastic. You can watch surfers from the property. And the sunrises and sunsets from the house are fantastic. We had 11 family members and there was plenty of room for everyone. Two quick things to note is that the Caretaker, Chris, does live on sight. It is a basement apartment. He will get you checked in and give you a tour and then really unless you have an issue or a question you really don't see him much. However if you do get a chance to talk to him he's a super cool guy! The only other thing you should know is the house does not have air conditioning. We thought this was going to be an issue when we first got there as the house had been closed up but once we opened all of the windows and doors it was perfect and never bothered us once.

Massive House: Great for Families with kids
We are a family of ten split between Melbourne, Australia and New York, NY so we met in O'Ahu as the wonderful midway point. We were three generations, starting at 2.5 months to 70 years old. Like many reviewers said, the house is massive and great for everyone to have their own space. The nightlife in this area seems to be very quiet, which fit us perfectly with the wide age span. For kid items (bassinet, baby bath tub etc) we used the local baby gear rental company Betty recommended and pick up and delivery was fantastic.
Highlights: Every bedroom has its own bathroom, the kitchen is enormous and well equipped (we shopped at Foodland and did a ton of cooking at home), the pool (kids used it every day) and gorgeous beachfront.
The house was well appointed: beds were very comfortable made with high quality linens, plenty of towels, lots of pool items (kick boards, floats, etc) and outdoor furniture.
Use Turtle Bay Resort!! We went there almost every day for their restaurant, bar, spa and fitness classes (sunset yoga). It is a very short drive and you do not need to be a guest to use their amenities. We went to their bar (surfers) for open mic night and it was a great time seeing the locals perform.
Walk to Teds Bakery like every review recommends! Great breakfast.

Lots of room; poorly appointed
This house is huge. In addition to 5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths, there is a huge kitchen//great room as well as two additional common areas in which to play or watch TV. There are plenty of linens and two washers and dryers. It is right on the beach with fabulous views. We were there in September; it was very hot and humid despite lots of ceiling fans. No A/C. The outdoor space is limited. There are 4 bar chairs and two tables as well as two couches outside. There are no lounge chairs and the outdoor dining table has no shade so is pretty much unusable. Betty, the property manager, is a good communicator, responsible and personable.
The house is very poorly appointed. There are so few glasses that you cannot serve your guests more than one round of water or a drink without washing the glasses. There is one giant pitcher, nothing medium sized and nothing small for heating milk for coffee. Only dinner and salad plates and cereal bowls. If you want to mix up some wasabi and soy sauce, you have to do it in a cereal bow. The rice cooker doesn't work. We had to purchase salt and pepper. It is a shame that the owners/managers do not spend $500 (a pittance compared to the rent) to outfit this house as it should be so the guests will be comfortable.

Thank you for your kind words and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. The house is appointed for a maximum of 12 people and feel we must respond to the comments regarding poor appointments. With regards to the glasses, plates, etc: we keep the house stocked for a group of 12 guests however when a guest has an event of about 30 guests without proper catering we can see how our supplies would not satisfy that number of people. We bought more glasses after this review regardless. We have more than enough plates, bowls, utensils, etc. We have always had mixing bowls, colanders, baking pans and sheets, etc. and replace items as needed or requested. We did not know the rice cooker didn’t work and it was replaced immediately upon reading this. The outdoor seating can accommodate 12 but we bought more outdoor furniture with this comment in mind. We have had no complaints about the outdoor dining table. It is 100% useable and has been enjoyed by many. The property is located on a breezy stretch of coastline and an umbrella will blow over, causing possible injury and/or damage. With regards to salt and pepper: condiments are rotating with each guest, we do not provide these items nor have we stated we would. We do try to keep basics on hand but there are times that they run out without our knowledge. Mahalo.

Best Spot on the North Shore!
This home is perfect for a large family! Our group only has 4 adults and 4 kids - but several more could have comfortably stayed at the home.
The living area, kitchen, and dining area are in one large open room that has windows to see in three directions. We spent several nights eating out on the deck enjoying the ocean breeze. We were concerned about the fact that the home doesn't have AC - but it was not a problem. with the windows open, the many ceiling fans going, and the nice breeze off the ocean, we were always comfortable throughout the home. The kitchen is large with plenty of area to prepare and serve food while still being a part of what is going on in the main living portion of the home.
The master bedroom is awesome - with great access to the other living area and a nice deck to enjoy the view/sounds. The room is huge. The other bedrooms are also roomy with good access to the decks and views of the ocean. All beds were comfortable with nice bedding.
There were plenty of restrooms, showers (3 outside, 5 inside).
The agent and owner were accessible and very nice. Betty was awesome to work with and gave us a number of pointers that helped us on this first visit to Oahu.
The home is positioned perfectly to see both sunrises and sunsets (my favorite part of the trip). In addition, their is a nice sandy beach right out the backyard with a safe place to enjoy the ocean. Many told us this beach was the best on the island. We had fun watching the surfers! Best of all, the beach was very private... up the road a mile, their were tons of people... but in front of this home, there were very few.
The home is only 15 minutes from the Polynesian Cultural center (Awesome experience). It is also only 5 minutes from Sharks Cove where we had fun snorkeling and enjoyed a few meals at the many food trucks. We also found plenty of hiking and other activities withing minutes of the home.
Ted's bakery is a couple of minutes from the home (how we always knew where to turn). Their pies are to die for! We ate too many for sure! There is also a good grocery store a few minutes from the home - that has everything you could need. Aside from that, the area is very rural. We heard zero car noise during our stay - perfect!
We will definitely visit again!

Thank you for staying with us and we are so glad you enjoyed yourselves! Hope to see you again soon!
This house was the perfect spot for our family to gather for our getaway. We live in three different locations on the mainland and I love the ocean so Hawaii was the obvious choice for us. With three children under the age of five we wanted our own pool and to be close to the ocean/beach and with this place, we were! The house is like a grand lady - she has seen better days but has been cared for and there was nothing missing that we couldn't live without. We enjoyed grilling on the lanai, walking on the beach at all hours, ocean sunsets, and even saw a seal on the beach and several turtles in the ocean! It was an unforgettable time and we made many memories!
Large house with pool on beautiful beach. Great for a group like we had. Yes some construction going on , primarily by caretaker who lives in basement. (He is friendly and keeps to himself.) Decor is very 80s, but clean, easy, and spacious. This rental is perfectly located, great surfing out front as well as the best snorkelling reef right there, (even in March!)
We stayed 10 days and everyday we grew more and more in love with the house. Getting to the beach was a little difficult for me (76 y/o) but I made it with assistance. Be prepared to climb stairs into house and down to pool/beach. Caretaker was friendly and helpful.
