We stayed here over New Year’s Eve and had a wonderful time. The condo was very clean, spacious, and comfortable for our group. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, and there was plenty of parking available. Overall, a great place to stay — we’d definitely come back!
Our family loved staying here. Great views of the surrounding area. The kitchen has everything you need, extra blankets, humidifier in the closet, etc. The place is well equipped so we were very comfortable during our stay.
This was the perfect spot for our family of 5. The condo is cozy and close to the shuttle stop to take you to the mountain. We also enjoyed the beautiful views from our windows.
Cabin had a nice layout tri level, with 3 bedrooms and kitchen, living room on top, master on mid level and 2 beds on lower level. Cabin was a corner unit overlooking the Martis Creek valley. Northstar is a great location, not far from Truckee or Lake Tahoe. Cabin was clean and comfortable:
Hi exactly as pictured and I feel the best value on the mountain.
Reminds me of being with my family when I was younger.
Appreciate the photo from 1940 which I translated to an anniversary ski date and then having the actual skis on the wall next to the photo and the boots as well.
Loved the fully functioning Super Nintendo and game cartridges was able to show my son NBA Jam (my favorite) but he couldn’t beat the Ewing/Starks Knicks..
He said it was better than streaming on Xbox.
Perfect layout and size for a family and very private corner unit with views of Martis Valley and the forest.
We enjoyed the property with a peak-a-boo view of the valley. Very convenient access to the ski resort via the on-demand shuttle service (load the transportation app on your phone). Approx 75 yard walk from condo parking lot to the unit including several steps for pack-in/pack-out. The unit was well stocked though we did have to contact the property manager for dish towels. The unit was not super clean including the dishware for Covid standards. The primary bath is small and half a flight up from the bedroom. The two living room couches are tired. Real wood burning fireplace is nice. There is no "Welcome" pamphlet in the unit to explain the shuttle transportation app, use of and reservations for the community center (hot tub), or multiple TV remote instructions.

Location is Everything, but... That Kitchen!!!
The location of this condo was perfect for my family of four. Long days of skiing and a very efficient shuttle to get us there and back with ease.
As for the condo, the rooms were warm and decorated with the typical ski chalet decor. The beds were comfortable and warm.
I don't read reviews to see what someone liked, I read them to see the red flags or dislikes they had, and come up with my own evaluation. So, here ya go with that!
The Cons-
We stay in a house/condo because we like to cook and live in the house when we are visiting. The 1972 kitchen needs updating! Although the condo had some pots and pans they were well worn out and needed replacing. Don't count on cutting anything with the knives in the block, they are so dull a master sharpener may not even get a good edge back. There were a few glass baking dishes but no baking sheet. The drawers were full of only somewhat usable gadgetry. I reached out and asked about a pancake griddle, I never heard back, There was no ability to make waffles or pancakes.
Only 2 very small cutting boards, WHO only has only small cutting boards, could barely cut onions without making a huge mess!
The leather couches in the living room were very dated and the cushion was so clapped out, might have been better off sitting on the floor.
-Winter Heating, We could never get a balance of heat for the bedrooms and living spaces, even when we turned down the heater at night, the lower bedrooms were roasting and the living room cold.
There were no extra garbage bags, no extra rolls of toilet paper,
The Pros-
The coffee maker worked great, with plenty of filters in the cupboard. Somewhat new refrigerator, no Ice maker but plenty of trays.
Fresh towels and warm showers were great!
The complex has folks that clear the sidewalks of snow after storms. Parking is super easy. Like most vacation rentals you have to bring in all your food and condiments, spices and oils, but there are many useful things in the cabinets that the cleaners either leave or owners have on hand. We added some more goodies!
There is a cable TV offering but reading in front of the fire while listening to music was way better than watching a screentime.
Even though I have many negatives, I'll probably book this place again and just deal with it or bring my own stuff to make cooking better.
Cheers!
