This place is not meant for small children at all. They have tac strips on the floor from carpeting, the floor felt like wax was used, lose vents (our baby pulled it right up), uneven floors, exposed edging, and the outlet covers were falling off. It may be good for fisherman, but I would not bring my family here. We unfortunately left the day we got there and weren't even there an hour before finding too many hazards for our family. The owner was good at communicating but ultimately, it wasn't a good fit. The owner did give us some money back due to our concerns.

NOT ACCURATELY ADVERTISED!!!!! Upon arrival we had no toilet paper or paper towels. We had to fight spiders and webs to get into the place. Only 1 bedroom, 2nd bedroom is the living room with a pull out bed with sliding tented door to give you “privacy” of a room. Slobber marks on the black pillow case. Bathroom door is VERY HARD to close, if you close it make sure someone else is there to help kick the door open, you won’t be able to get it open without help from the other side of the door. MICE POOP UNDER THE KITCHEN SINK WITH A TOILET CLEANING BRUSH AMONG OTHER THINGS (dirty rag, rusty pot, just nasty) We had to use the back entrance, walking past a trash can full of trash and full of water that looked like a science experiment. Next to the “patio” there’s an open space going to a basement maybe with Trash and junk. I have pictures to prove these findings. I could keep going with other things that’s wrong and needs to be taken care of before it’s rented out again. Owners did refund me a cleaning fee as a measure of good faith…. But is fighting about a full refund…. THIS PLACE IS A NO GO!

Thank you for your feedback. I want to address this directly, as I believe some context is important for future guests. As soon as we were made aware of any concerns, we issued a full refund of the cleaning fee — before the guest had even checked out. We take cleanliness seriously; the unit was professionally cleaned just three days prior to arrival, and we would have gladly sent our cleaning crew to address anything in person had we been contacted during the stay rather than on the final day. To clarify a few specifics: the listing accurately reflects the layout and photos of the property, and the building type selected is the closest match available on the platform. The property is located near the lake, and while we treat entry points before every arrival, some exterior insect activity is unfortunately part of that setting. Regarding the basement — this is shared duplex structure and not part of the rental unit itself. We've hosted several guests in this unit recently, including a full-week stay, without similar reports, and we're taking these comments seriously as we look into them further. We're sorry this stay fell short of expectations and wish we'd had the chance to make it right in real time.
