We were communicating with the host over a week before check-in. Then, after we traveled to Atlanta and were trying to check in (we hadn’t received the door code from the host yet), the host canceled our reservation while we were in the driveway trying to get in! That was beyond ridiculous!!! Vrbo was very helpful in trying to rectify the situation, but I definitely learned that app communication with the host is not always the actual host. When we called the host to try to get in (again, in the driveway and after the check in time) he told us he didn’t even have a reservation for that day. The whole experience was riiiiiiidiculous and I truly hope no one has to go through this same experience, especially when you have toddlers in tow like we did.
