*****Full Transparency******This a beautiful, restful place to stay, once you get to the driveway and in the home. However, Hardwood Rd (not actual road, gravel on mud) is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS especially in the rain! The is no other way up there. This road is not wide enough for two vehicles to pass one another. So if you are driving up and someone else is coming down the winding "road", one of you will have to back up, terrifying to do this "road" in reverse. The driveway to the property is not clear, very easy to drive past and up into another property that has a VERY STEEP incline and not easy to turn around in. I went up there in a Kia Sportage, bad move and it is my fault for not thoroughly investigating the place and they made sure to remind me of that fact in the kindest way of course. Due to the stress of the first drive up, I was to scared to attempt in more than one more time. I wish I had gone up there with groceries and just stayed up there, that would have been fine. But my plan was to be able to drive and explore the area. Instead I went out for the day as it continued to rain. I got supplies and the resigned that if I made it back up HARDWOOD I'd stay up there. That was a big if that ruined my day and stressed me to the MAX and essentially ruined my time there. Also if you approach the property via the 197, you will have a very winding and gravel narrow "road". So that being said if you aren't the greatest driver look elsewhere! :)

Thank you for your review! We are very happy that you were pleased with your stay. Your comments concerning accessibility have been noted; unfortunately, some mountain properties do require steep and narrow roads to access, and we do suggest 4wd vehicles for these properties. We're also happy to suggest more suitable properties.
