There is much to like about this place. The view, for example, is spectacular.
But, for what is marketed and priced as a premium rental, it is in my view below the standard. Specifically, the water pressure and amount of hot water is minimal, making showering at best a necessarily rushed event.
Similarly, the kitchen is -- even by rental properties standards (which in my experience is poor) -- very limited. Specifically, there are no hot pads or even a corkscrew; the knives are among the worst I have experienced; and except for one overly large cast iron frying pan, all the pans that can be used for frying (eggs, pancakes, etc.) are teflon coated, which is now well-known to be highly associated with a slew of cancers and are a health hazard.
Again, these criticisms are in part a function of the marketing and pricing of the unit: if it were advertised as rustic and minimal, and priced accordingly, I would not have the expectations that are implicit in my criticisms.
Overall we loved staying here, but there were only a few noticeable drawbacks from making it the perfect stay for us. None of the doors latched (bathroom, rooms) except for the main entrance door and there should also be a disclosure about the road because, unless you have a larger car, it is almost un-driveable and it made our car stall out almost every single time it went up the road and, because the car is small and lower to the ground, we would scrape the front of the car. Aside from these, it was a cozy and wonderful stay and we loved waking up to the sun and water everyday! I just believe this would be better suited for those with a truck or large SUV.

Everything about this house was perfect. We really enjoyed watching the eagles fly around and the fish jump in the river. My son had a great time fishing off the dock. It was incredibly quiet, but the sites weren’t too far away. We loved that we weren’t battling crowds all week. Most relaxing vacation we’ve had in years!
The view is outstanding here, everything is beautiful. Bald eagles, deer, all kinds of wildlife! The property is beautiful and quiet we loved it and will be back.
Very clean, had all of the amenities, and views out of the windows onto the bay were spectacular.

Our only complaint was with ourselves for not booking a longer stay. The kids would have loved to kayak or have a fire at night. We were there visiting my son who is working at the local theatre. If he returns next year we will be booking a longer trip!

It’s great to know you had the chance to visit your son at the local theatre. We’d be thrilled to welcome you back for an extended stay whenever you return next year. Please don’t hesitate to reach out when you’re ready to plan your next trip; we’d love to help make it even more memorable.
We look forward to hosting you for a great stay in the future.

Clean, well equipped cabin in a picture perfect setting.
Right on the water, this cabin was the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. Very comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. Close enough to Brunswick and Bath to make shopping and day trips easy, but secluded enough to be very private. We will definitely book more time at this lovely spot.
