The house was beautiful! Close to everything. Views beautiful, town beautiful and so much to do and see!! Our second year here and will be coming back in future!
Beautiful home, incredible art work. Very large and spacious. All the amenities you might need. Perfect for our family. Very close to nearby coffee shop, good restaurants, and renowned lobster rolls.
We stayed with 3 couples and had a wonderful time at the house in Wiscassett. The house was equipped with everything we needed for a long weekend. The town is wonderful - we walked to all of the local restaurants and shops and drove to Boothbay Harbor and Camden for short day trips. We highly recommend the house and would be happy to stay again.
Lovely house & great location in charming Wiscasset. The clean house is very much like the pictures, although there is no pic of the shower, which is tiny & old (the glass stall is undersized and gerry-rigged w a shower curtain) But the shower itself is great pressure and plenty of hot water. It wasn’t a deterrent. We found the queen bed on 2nd floor and full on 1st. We will come again.

Very comfortable accomodations in the quaint village of Wiscasset with a view of the harbor. Walking distance to shops and restaurants.
We stayed in three places as we traveled through Maine. This was my favorite stay. The home owners thought of everything you might need for your stay. The house was spotless. The light, colors and furnishings made this so homey. The location was close to walk to town and the view from outside the front of the house was beautiful. This home has modern amenities, while also being a step in the past. Beds were very comfy and linens seemed brand new. The washer and dryer was a plus as we were traveling for two weeks. I would absolutely stay here again if I visit the area again.

My wife, 28 year old daughter and I stayed for three nights. Very clean, well furnished, full kitchen, and plenty of room. While there is no house wide AC/there are several window AC units that rendered the home quite comfortable even during 93 degrees the first night. Very responsive property management.

Hi Timothy,
Thank you so much for the review and kind words about our property. We’re so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. You were perfect guests, and we look forward to next time. -The TurnKey Team
We spent two nights here while visiting colleges and the surrounding areas. It is very convenient to Brunswick, Portland, the nearby coastal towns and points north. We were up and out early each day and didn’t return until late so we weren’t in the house much but it served our purposes well. It is cozy, quaint and rustic and the owners did a nice job updating the kitchen. The keyless entry was very convenient and we appreciated being notified we could check in early even though we weren’t able to do so because of our busy schedule. The town is charming and the street was quiet and felt safe.

My search for a nine day vacation rental in the mid-coast Maine region was filtered by a requirement for a waterfront or water view. The description of this property was titled “Beautiful River View Retreat”. The description went on to say “Adirondack chairs on the grassy lawn invite you to kick back and enjoy the Sheepscot River views”. There are no river views from this house and there were no Adirondack chairs on the property. We stayed one night and checked out in the morning after calling Vacasa Customer Service and requesting a credit for 7 nights. They denied my request. I appealed the decision and requested a further review by management and was denied again. This is blatant false advertising and I will never book a property Vacasa manages in the future. GP, SC

Overall, the rental and the house were very satisfactory. Clean, comfortable, well appointed, very attractive, etc. Surprising artwork on walls. Our family is in the area -- this was an "overflow" rental -- so we are very familiar with the area. Wiscasset is delightful, and lovely short walks to dock and water, center of town, and especially the row of grand houses on High Street. Two minor details follow.Toilet seat was cracked when we arrived, and should be replaced.A suggestion for the owner would be better lighting on the deck.

Duped and Disappointed
The posting is not accurate. Shocked by the fact that this place is categorized as a "premiere host." Toilet seat was cracked. There was brown hairy mold on the bathroom curtain. There was pink mold on the bottom of the shower curtain and on the tub. There were no extra sheets or blankets as the property manager had indicated. The front door had windows that allowed for no privacy. For people of color visiting an all-white town, renting a house next door to a neighbor with a Trump sign, this is not something that made us feel very comfortable. The beautiful couches and chairs pictured online were covered with brown chair covers. The place did not look like the photos on the website. There was no light in the dining room which made it impossible to dine in the dining room in the evenings. The deck was not clean, but quite dirty. The place is very old and the floors creak. There's only one bathroom far away down the stairs from the top two bedrooms. The white stairs leading up to the bedrooms were dirty upon arrival. There was hair on the stairs. A hair was also found on a pillow upstairs. There was dirt behind an upstairs door. All of this, despite the exorbitant cleaning charges. Though we enjoyed Maine itself, we would not recommend Vrbo or this place.
