REVIEW: We had a wonderful time at the Heartist Home in Stuart.... Isabel Sanchez · Mar 28, 2026 · VRBO 5***** We had a wonderful time at the Heartist Home in Stuart. The home was clean and had the most well stocked kitchen and bathroom I've seen since using Vrbo. Mayana was easy to get up with, punctual, and very informative. The atmosphere and aesthetic of the home was warm & welcoming. We loved watching the birds visit the feeders in the windows every morning while drinking fresh ground coffee and the area is very quiet and remote. The listing is very transparent that the owner lives on site, and despite this there isn't more disturbance than that you'd experience at an apartment building. Never made actual contact with the owner. We spent the weekend for the Martinsville Speedway for the NASCAR Cup series in town. It's about 30 minutes away. The owner provides a home manual for suggestions on food, entertainment, and local shopping. The beds were comfy and had Internet, streaming, and board games for families. After a busy day, hanging around the gas fireplace was warming as well. Thank you again for letting us stay!

About the host
Your host
Andras and Mayana come from different backgrounds to this home where they unite.
Andras is originally from Budapest, Hungary and emigrated at age 12 during the 1956 Revolution.
Mayana is from Eugene, Oregon originally and spent much time in Idaho and Washington.
Together they call themselves Heartists in Resonance and seek to inspire the world with their nonprofit work through Peace Production 501(c)3. Their programs include Global Grandmothers' Council Network, Growing Patrick County Foundation, Love Wisdom Power, and many more.
When these Heartists met in 2012, they were both teaching what they individually called "The Art of Being" - processes to know oneself and use breathwork to overcome trauma and stress. This alignment could not be more potent and they immediately began teaching together.
During Covid it was impossible to breathe with clients, so they found a little spot to settle in Stuart, VA. Since 2021 they have enjoyed being in a small town setting and rural living - doing most of their work online.
Now that the pandemic is past, they travel more again and teach in person when possible.
Why they chose this property
The foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains is a beautiful spot with moderate climate and lots of opportunities to explore nature. Fairystone Park is nearby and the Blue Ridge Parkway offers views of the region. You will often find Andras & Mayana travelling to Boone or Asheville - working with their North Carolina Peace Production partners.
