About this property
Quirky 1-bedroom apartment with AC in delightful Gloucester, near water
Gorgeous view of the Mill River just behind the house. Hiking, boating, marine activities and city life just minutes away. Spacious, bright, private room in funky apartment building, with grocery/convenience store right downstairs. Private entrance (from common hallway), private bath.
Best suited for easy going, laidback people.
The space: Spacious, yet cozy, private bedroom with microwave, fridge, coffee maker. No stove. Private bath.
Best suited for LAID BACK individuals who aren't going to nitpick it to death. Guest’s pets are also welcome to stay, in other words: THIS IS A PET FRIENDLY HOUSE. The hallway may occasionally sport a faint odor of past pet presence, though I keep it clean.
There are other quirks as well. It's a funky building, but safe and clean.
Please don't book if you plan to give us low ratings based on the built in quirks of the space, which I can do nothing about. Ask if you have any questions!
If you're more of a hotel person, we have lots of them in town. :)
Guest access: Private Bedroom, Private Bathroom. Common Hallway leading to unit.

Lovely, large room with beams on the ceiling and a very comfortable bed. Clean and inviting. Appreciated the detailed, friendly messages from the host. The building is near a pretty pond and the store downstairs sells coffee for a dollar!
It’s certainly quirky, walking through work shop with a bunch of tools, granted neatly stored. But the room was very comfortable and Inge was very helpful with access instructions and answering questions about the area and how to move around
Quirky was accurate, but in a most charming way. The outside of the building fooled us, but inside we were met with an attractive and wide-open spaced living area, a VERY comfortable and well appointed queen bed (SOOO important no matter how long the stay), ample towels, ample fridge space, ample cleanup provisions, ample supplies of coffee and tea, a user-friendly coffee maker, an unpretentious (and why not) restroom area, a space heater AND air conditioner if needed, a ROKU tv with which to connect to our favorite channels, and last but not least (unlike MANY Vrbo properties), the easiest and shortest departure todo list I’ve ever experienced. The host, Inge, was immediate with every communication, making us feel that she would be at the ready if anything untoward came upon us.Incidentally, we almost gave up searching in Gloucester when all we had initially uncovered were rentals with multi-day requirements and 4-digit costs. Inge’s property could not have come at a better time for us when needing to catch the art show just down the road a piece at the Queen Ann Museum. All tolled, the nor’easter was a mere blip on the radar for us the whole weekend, every bit for having the perfect hideaway at Inge’s place for my honey and I.Thank you muchly, Inge.Sincerely, Doc
