Book Villa Pinna and secure yourself a peaceful vacation in the beautiful Istrian town of Liznjan
Li?njan is a small fishing village with a protected natural harbor on a small peninsula in the very south of Istria. The place offers a magnificent view of the crystal clear sea and the Kvarner islands of exceptional beauty.
There are around 28 km of beautiful, unspoiled beaches, most of which are rocky. The locals are engaged in tourism, but also in fishing, as they did a thousand years ago. An undiscovered jewel opposite the coast is the island of Levan with a beautiful sandy beach and some gastronomic establishments, an ideal place for those who seek adventure and want to experience the sea in a different way.
As far as historical sights are concerned, you should visit the small church of Our Lady of Kuj (from the 17th century, built on the site of a former Roman villa) and the church of St. Martin (from 1879, located in the old town of Li?njan, a three-nave church in neo-Romanesque style). In summer, Li?njan hosts numerous festivals, the most famous of which are the traditional folk festivals "Li?njan Night", "Fishermen's Night and Brodet Cup" and the Assumption Day festival "Holly" with music and gastronomic specialties. During your stay in Li?njan you should not miss out on visiting many other festivals and fairs as well as some of the larger tourist destinations in the immediate vicinity, such as Pula, Pore? and Rovinj.
