The cabin exceeded my expectations. We are three single friends, who stayed there for four nights in Fall 2026 so that we could enjoy all the hiking opportunities in Lassen National Park. The weather was perfect. The hiking was amazing — Bumpass Hell Trail, Cinder Cone Trail, and Lassen Peak plus Burney Falls, the latter of which is technically outside the park and a bit of a drive beyond it. The cabin is cozy and intimate. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was generously stocked with cookware. The hot tub was amazing to have at the end of a long day of hiking. We didn’t use the fire pit itself, but we still sat outdoors around the covered pit for one of our meals. I like that the kitchen is open to the seating area so you can still carry on a conversation, there’s even a bar counter in front of the stove so you can keep talking; the ones cooking don’t feel like their exiled into the kitchen and opt part of the fun. It was easy to find and just off the main road. It was overall a really lovely stay. So relaxing and easy.
