About this property
Crosslake/ Whitefish Chain: Big Trout Lake
The lake house is completely remodeled in Nordic style. It sits just off of one of the most desired lakes in Minnesota, Trout Lake, on the Whitefish Chain. There are plenty of boating opportunities on these lakes, so many of our guests bring a boat or will rent for their stay. There are several restaurants you can boat in and out of on the lakes, making it a wonderful destination for those that want that experience.
Located on the property, there is a large dock area to relax and visit, as well as a back deck with a grill and chiminea/ solo stove option. We also have a fire pit for use down below at the water's edge.
We also have 4 bicycles, two paddleboards, one kayak, and two child-size kayaks for use, along with a full training gym in the garage area. There is also a wonderful bike and walking trail that runs along the property and is about a 4 mile loop.
Inside, there are 2 bedrooms on the main floor with attached bathrooms, and an upstairs open loft with a king size bed and 2 twin beds. It also has a bonus room above the garage, complete with a large couch, TV, and poker/ card table. The kitchen area is fully stocked, we have this place for ourselves, so anything we use, you can use.
This is our special place we love to come back home to; Lisa grew up in MN on the lakes, and now lives and works in real estate in Nashville, TN. If you have any questions on golf, entertainment, restaurants, etc... we are happy to help!

About the host
Hosted by Lisa Davis

I grew up in Brainerd, MN, BRD airport, operated by Delta airlines. I am in real estate in Nashville, TN. I played golf in college down in Nashville and really haven't left there since. We are avid golfers and have worked around at all of the courses in the area, it is a wonderful destination for the sport as well. Hard to decide between lake and golf time :)
Our daughters are growing and go to school in Nashville. We try and spend as much time in MN as possible during the summers, but the schedule really doesn't allow it like it used to.

Why they chose this property
Best chain of lakes in MN, and Trout Lake is truly a special lake. The color and depth is beyond any of the other lakes, and the sunset is absolutely breathtaking.
We plan on using this property for years to come with our family and decided to open it up to others when we are not around simply because we don't want it to go to waste. At this stage of our lives, we have only been able to use it one month out of the year at best.

What makes this property unique
Big Trout Lake is very special and anyone familiar with the area will agree. Great swimming and clear water (rock bottom), beautiful sunsets, and boating opportunities. It is lake of choice for us and many others. We prefer the Whitefish Chain because it is a little further north than Gull Lake area, great boating, beautiful pine trees, great people, and beautiful elevation and views in comparison to other areas and lakes. There are so many options for what to do, we end up realizing we didn't get around to everything most trips!
