Updated Urban Retreat Near DIA

Welcome to our Kirk Street Retreat, located in a quiet and friendly neighborhood at Green Valley Ranch of Denver.
Our home has five bedrooms, a master with a king bed, two bedrooms each with a king bed, and two others each with a full bed, enough to accommodate at least 10 people. The 'bonus' fifth bedroom, recently added with no extra charge, is on the ground floor, convenient for small kids or those who do not want to climb upstairs. Due to its original structure, this "bonus" room is partly separated from the family room by a curtain.
We also have a living room with a fireplace; a dining room for 6, a nook for 4, and a gourmet kitchen including a large island, double oven, range, refrigerator, and a dishwasher, and almost every gadget you need at home.
Two family rooms, one downstairs with a futon, a chair, a flat screen TV, DVD and a fireplace; one upstairs with a futon, bench, table and a wet bar. A laundry room is equipped with a new washer and dryer.
Three full bathrooms: The master bath with a jetted tub and a shower; second bath (upstairs) with 2 sinks and a tub; the third bath (downstairs) with a sink and a shower.
The house was built in 2002, but was recently remodeled with eco-friendly bamboo flooring throughout the house. Therefore, to maintain a good and clean environment for Guests, smoking and pets are not allowed in the facility. Our guests will enjoy lots of comfort and coziness in the house. In winter, it is always warm thanks to the central heating system and 2 fireplaces; in summer, it is always cool thanks to the central air-conditioning and the eco-friendly bamboo flooring.
There are lots of restaurants, grocery stores, local shops, golf courses, health care facilities within miles from the home.

Great place for a gathering of friends.

Really enjoyed our stay. Place was clean, and had plenty of room for our party of 9. It does get a little hot in the house, seems as though it may be a bit too large for the AC to keep up. Also Green Valley Ranch in general is pretty far out to the East side. Be prepared for long Uber/Lyft rides and steeper fares. However it is really close to the airport which was nice for our flights out.

Twins baseball trip

Five of us stayed in this home. The owner was very easy to work with and was very punctual when he said he would meet with us. Our location was an easy ride into Denver to see the baseball games. The home itself is located near stores if you need things. The owner brought with him some food products and plus he had already had a many things that we needed for our stay. The house is very large with a small yard but served us very well. The listing and what you see in the photos are accurate and the house was very clean. I would recommend this place to my friends.

Comfortable, convenient, fairly priced.

Ten of us, ages 1 to 70, enjoyed this home for five days. It was exactly as represented and we were delighted with its spaciousness, cleanliness, and nice quiet neighborhood. We really appreciated all the extra thought that was put into making this property comfortable. Many amenities awaited us, including a well-stocked kitchen, soaps and shampoos, paper products and even in-house slippers. Check the house before going shopping as there are many items you will not need to purchase. The central a.c. kept the house very comfortable. Our only suggestion is to add one or two tv sports channels. I'm sure we will be coming back to Denver and this will be our first choice for housing. It is very fairly priced and the owner was very easy to work with.

Disappointing stay

This was my first experience with a VRBO home and while my friends raved about their experiences in homes they had stayed in, I was disappointed. The house was sparsely furnished with uncomfortable furniture. Numerous things were in need of repair inside the home and the quick fix was clear packing tape. While we were there the air conditioner malfunctioned so even though the owner responded quickly to repair it, 2 of the nights were hot and uncomfortable. The backyard was neglected and unattractive so we were unable to use it. Would not recommend this home.

Thank you for your review. However, let's be honest: in the morning of August 15 (we keep the record of this), we received a text message from you regarding the AC malfunctioning (which we did not expect because we had everything checked and fixed the day before you arrived). In 10 minutes, we came to the property and called the AC guy who fixed it at 2:00 pm. Since then, the AC has been working well. It was only one night, not two; as for the back yard, we have been trying to take good care of the front lawn; mowing and trimming the back lawn due to the limited use of water in irrigation; therefore, maybe it does not look neat as we want. The weather being hot, we still have to save water. Furniture arrangement depends on each individual, hard to please everyone. As for some things that need to be fixed, our repairmen request us to mark the spots using clear tapes so they know which ones they are and where they are. Anyway, thank you for all of your ideas.

Urban Retreat

Overall the house was fine. The decor is very unique! The pictures on the website need to be updated; the house needs some repairs. The backyard is overgrown and wasn't inviting. The pergola was in bad shape with no awning over the top. The house could use some more towels; we had to wash towels twice during our short stay. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and supplies. Although there is a garage, it is locked up and you do not have access to it. Also, the owner responds in a timely fashion. The house next door has an awful mess in the backyard which you look at out the kitchen windows. Of course, this isn't the owners' fault.

My thoughts

All good , however sound travels through out the house You can hear water running and vent fans from the bathrooms while you are napping. The front door has storm door with extremely noisy hinges which can be heard in bedrooms. The coffee pot is dated and very slow.

Very nice place with many bedrooms and large living space and kitchen. We enjoyed how close it was to the airport but were a little bummed for how far we were from zoo, downtown, and other areas. Communication with host was very prompt! Would recommend!

Could have been better!

Decent home and neighborhood. Sparsely decorated with lots of beds. Very expensive cleaning fee required. Arrived and found dirty oven, food in cabinets, dirty stove, nasty barbecue, dirty toilets and showers.lots of ants in driveway, walkway and back patio. Did not complain because had to much to do dealing with daughter's wedding.

This review is grossly unfair and inaccurate. I would emphatically deny all accusations of dirty kitchen cabinets, appliances or bathrooms. The whole house is cleaned to the very highest standards after every guest checkout with close attention paid to details like these. I would also point out that these guests left the house completely unsecured, in fact the front door was left wide open. And they left with the keys and had to be asked to bring them back.

Wonderful House!

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at this property. It was close to the airport and just minutes from shopping and eating. The house was very clean and came with a fully stocked kitchen of plates/cups/cookware etc. Communication with the host was very clear and he was friendly. I highly recommend this house as it’s extremely spacious. There was plenty of room in the house for all of us to be together, or spread apart. Overall great experience, highly recommend!

We absolutely loved the house. There were 10 adults and plenty of room. We enjoyed the backyard space when we could. The only draw back was trying to get the house locked up when we left. Could have just been us at 4am not getting it to work properly.

Neighbors was knocking at the door for parking but it was not our car . The neighbors wasn’t pleasant and we did everything to respect. They kept knocking saying they was going tow our rental cars . The house and the host was great but be careful with neighbors

Base camp for a Monet visit

We enjoyed our stay very much, plenty of room for 10 adult women ranging in age 24 to 72. Owner's response regarding questions was timely. Easy access to local shopping and restaurants, and since we made several trips to the airport coming and going the close proximity was appreciated. Between us there were 3 miss-steps on the stairs between the entrance and dining area. Perhaps something to call attention to that transition would be helpful. So easy...

This entire process was soooo easy. There were 6 ladies visiting for a girls trip....not one major complaint about the accommodations. A miracle. Spacious, clean, responsive owner. The complaint.....someone wanted wine glasses 😂!

Absolutely Perfect

The house was absolutely spotless and perfect location for a conference we attended at the Gaylord Rocky Mountains resort. The owner was very responsive. When we found the coffe pot had a hole in it our first morning, he had us a brand new coffee pot by that afternoon. And the owner went above and beyond to help us get a package one of the ladies had sent to the house. He even hand delivered it after it had been left in the locked mailbox (no mailbox on/at the house itself). We highly recommend this location. Its was everything and more!
