Everything about this mountain home is amazing!! So peaceful with beautiful views, plenty of room in the house, and the most amazing host. Carolyn is awesome!!! We can't thank her enough for everything she did for us to make our stay just that much more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back to visit this wonderful getaway.
We had a great time!! The house is great and has everything you need. It is remote and the road is rough but if you are looking to get away and have a peaceful relaxing time in nature it is perfect.
We had a wonderful stay at the upper lake house and the Aspen lake house! The homes are beautiful and have everything you need to create an amazing vacation. We will definitely rent again!

We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay! Thanks for choosing our home for your mountain getaway, and please come back soon!
This cabin was such a blessing to come back to after a long day hunting. We got to cook a nice dinner using the well stocked kitchen and then relax in front of the TV and we all had comfortable beds with lots of space for our stuff. Location was so convenient to the reservoir and creek with amazing views. We definitely would stay here again!
Thanks so much!

Clean, beautiful, awesome place to get away from it all.
This was a great getaway. The house is clean and has everything you need. The view is spectacular. We saw deer, turkeys, and two bears. Great place to unwind.
Property was great. Neat cabin with picture perfect views. Awesome place for retreat or if you want to stay put. We did activities in Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak, Garden of Gods and Old Colorado City. Plan on 1.5 hours each way to reach these spots.

So glad you enjoyed the cabin with the scenery! And those are all fantastic activities. A little bit of a drive, but the scenery on the way up is always worth it!
Hi Carolyn, thanks for the feedback! Yes, sadly, the county road to our house isn’t often great. As we discussed, the county doesn’t employ enough people to grade the road often enough, but hopefully that will change soon!
Y’all are welcome back anytime, and thanks for staying with us!

Just bring food, fishing gear, clothing, and your eyes and ears to behold Colorado's great outdoors!
If youre looking for nice, modern, yet somewhat remote, this is the place. Some reviews say 4×4 vehicle required, this is not the case, it is on a dirt road and drive is dirt/gravel and some what steep. More than doable.
If you are looking for secluded beauty, this is it! While we were there deer and turkeys came by. We sat out on the deck and had the wonderful scenery right in front of us. Only the birds and the Aspens to listen to. The beds were comfy and the furnishings we beautifully decorated. We were sorry to leave so soon.
This property is just as described in the listing - secluded, quiet, and in the mountains. The property was beautiful, seclusion just what one may need, and the amenities were just right. The owners were quick to respond and work with us when if/when we came across an issue or complication. They Even reached out to the housekeeper for NYE activities for our kids when asked. We typically try to find somewhere new each time we travel, but this is most definitely a place I hope to be able to return in the summer.

Wow, we're so glad you enjoyed your stay so much, Brittney, and thank you so much for your kind words. It was our pleasure to help y'all out - and we'd love for y'all to come back in the summer! It's beautiful at that time of year as well, and the weather is spectacular. Hope to see you then!
The house was amazing! If you are looking to get away from the chaos of a busy city this is the place you want to be. It is located about 30 minutes from any type of town on the side of a mountain. It has all the amenities of a hotel with tons of space, walk around porch and beautiful views of a near by lake and mountain range. Gas stations are about 30-40 minutes away and 45-60 minutes for any type of restaurant/ fast food. Also the road to the house is dirt and there is a steep incline up to the house. Overall it is worth every penny!

Picturesque View
Great cabin in the middle of nowhere. If you're looking for privacy with a nice place to fish and watch wildlife this place is for you. If you're wanting to do more touristy things I suggest a place closer to the tourist attractions, ie: Air Force Academy, Pikes Peak, white water rafting, Manitou Springs and such. It's a long drive wherever you go.

This is the place for peacefulness, beauty, relaxing and enjoying the quiet and exciting great outdoors!
The lake house cabin was amazing! We had a great time and enjoyed it. No regrets at all. The views were wonderful and exceptional. Any picture or video does do justice to what your eyes can see. However, there are 6 miles of unpaved road before getting to the cabin address and must drive up a steep way to get to the cavin itself so I recommend a 4X4.

Gorgeous!
Our family of 8 LOVED this rental. Very clean inside, well stocked with kitchen supplies, towels and bedding. Breathtaking views and quiet seclusion. The photos don't do the location justice! The un-paved road to the property added to our quest for adventure. We hope to return soon! The owner of the property is very responsive and open to communication. We really appreciate that.

We appreciate this fine review. Somehow pictures cannot capture the beauty in these mountains, along with the peacefulness and the serenity of the lake.

Why they chose this property
We bought this house and property due to its proximity to our main house and because of the stunning views of the mountains and the lake. There is, also, a magnificent aspen forest in the back yard. We did a major renovation on the house with new granite countertops, custom cabinets, tile and wood floors, windows and doors. We built a large deck to capture the views. We thoroughly enjoy this property and believe our guests will also.
