The second bathroom with a shower over the tub is situated between bedrooms 2 & 3.

This property had the charm of a Victorian Beach cottage with the convenience of a modern, well equipped kitchen with lots of extras supplied like paper products, spices, etc. The rooftop patio gave spectacular views. Bedrooms were comfortable. The “mermaid” themed decor was delightful! Extremely well located, steps to beach, short walk to Starbucks and Live Oak farmers market. Lots of beach equipment and games. We had a great time!

Quintessential California beach House!

Four adults and two children under 10 had a blast at this great beach house located steps away from the beach in Santa Cruz area. Very convenient very laid-back and very fun. Flew kites, boggie boarded, grilled out, and had many seal and otter sightings. Sunsets and wine on roof deck. Great stay and owners touched base to be sure all was good!

Rented this charming beach cottage for my nephew’s graduation. It was perfect. Hosted 2 dinners at the home and everyone loved the house. The home is bigger than it appears with a large living room and a large family room. Plus it has an incredible roof top deck. The location was also ideal being only a house or two away from the beach.

Dream view!

Our family enjoyed the amazing view from the balcony rooftop. We enjoyed watching the sailboats, surfers, and our family playing on the beach. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will be back!

Great Santa Cruz getaway

Awesome place to stay. Literally 30 steps to the Beach! We loved bbq and enjoying evenings on the upper view deck overlooking the ocean. Beds were comfortable, with good bedroom layout.

Fantastic Location

This was the perfect house for our family to stay in during graduation weekend. Great Farmer's Market on Sunday morning within easy walking distance. Uncrowded beach in front of the house with great waves for surfing or boogie boarding.

We are native to the bay area and our family has been enjoying Santa Cruz beaches for generations. This is our family beach home, we've enjoyed many years of spending summers raising our children at La Sirena, hosting great get-togethers with family and friends and weekend getaways.

Why they chose this property

It's a perfect home for all ages. We love the proximity to the beach. It's easy to pop down for a nice morning run or walk. Bring the kids down for some beach fun and be able to quickly walk-up to the house for lunch on the rooftop deck while viewing the beach and ocean. Then head back down for some afternoon boogie boarding. No need to pack and haul everything down! It makes it easy to enjoy the best of the beach and the amenities of the house. You also have the advantage of being able to see the beach, size of the waves (should you bring your board?) and weather before you head down to the beach. Also, if you don't want to venture into the sand, you can watch others play, etc... from the deck. Grandparents find this feature especially delightful.

What makes this property unique

La Sirena is the quintessential victorian beach house. It's full of charm you won't find anywhere else, yet offers modern advantages such as the huge ocean-view deck and white water views from the newly renovated open family-kitchen-great room. The floorplan provides privacy while maximizing space. With a living room with TV & fireplace and a separate family/great room, there is plenty of space for everyone to socialize and relax. Each bedroom has direct access to a bathroom--no hallways to navigate. Easy and safe beach access down a well maintained wide wooden staircase with railings.
