Beautiful Mid-Century, on 1/2 acre lot, gorgeous backyard & close to El Paseo!!

Our Casa Hermosa is to die for!! It is located in a peaceful neighborhood in South Palm Desert at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Centrally located to everything! Just a 20 min walk to El Paseo, and other destinations such as hiking trails, The Living Desert Zoo, McCallum Theatre, PD Aquatic Centre, golf courses, markets, grocery stores, restaurants and endless retail shopping are minutes away by car!

The minute you step into Casa Hermosa you will be on vacation!! The home has an early 1960’s layout that has been completely renovated in 2013 to bring the simplicity of mid-century modern to present day. The house offers over 3000 square feet of comfortable living space stretching out over 140 feet in length. There are 2 King Master Suites located on opposite ends of the house for very comfortable living, whether it be separate families, couples, or grandparents with their extended family vacationing together. There is a Spare/Children's room next to the North Master Suite that has a bunk bed and trundle pull out which will sleep 3 comfortably. On the other end of the house, there is a Den/Office with a very comfortable queen size sofa bed. Kitchen and Laundry room are equipped with new appliances. The house wraps around the pool and deck so that no matter where you are in the house, you are never more than 10 steps away from a cool refreshing swim. State of the art electronics are installed throughout the house, with LCD TV’s in most rooms, and sound system wired throughout, both inside and out. The Main Living Room boasts a 65” LCD screen with Cable TV, Xbox, Apple TV, DVD, Netflix, Chromecast, and Pandora Radio, all at your fingertips with the push of a button on the universal remote. The home is also equipped with a home automation system that controls the security alarm, set back thermostats, front and back door locks, alarm sensors on every door and window, smoke detector, and light switches throughout. Extended Wi-Fi network covers the entire house and patio with download speeds above 70 Mbps no matter where you are.

If this isn't enough, we have a backyard oasis that you will not want to leave! The large pool with cascading rock waterfall is the highlight of the property. The expansive covered patio provides a beautiful outdoor living space with plenty of seating areas for everyone to enjoy!

We have outfitted our Casa Hermosa with everything you need to relax and unwind during your vacation! It is our priority to make your stay at our home - relaxed, stress-free and wishing you never have to leave!

RESERVATIONS & PAYMENT

Enquiries/reservations can be made directly online by clicking on “Get an instant quote” OR by selecting “Email Owner”.

In order to reserve, we require 50% of the total cost of the reservation upfront along with receipt of a completed and signed rental agreement. The remaining 50% will be due 30 days before check-in.

Payment by credit card or e-check is accepted through the Home Away payment program offered by VRBO. Owners will initiate this payment process via secure email, once a reservation is accepted.

Canadians only – if you prefer to pay in CDN funds (US exchange rate will be applied), owner will accept: Interac E-Transfer Payments (direct deposit) or CDN Cheques. Further instructions will be provided by email.

Whats not to love???

This is a beautiful home at the end of a quiet cul de sac, and is at least as nice as the pics on line. The house is modern, and the kitchen large and extremely well stocked. The house was immaculately clean for our arrival and the landlord responded immediately to any questions we had.The outside space was perfect for our family. A magnificent pool, lots of tables and chairs and some glorious cooling green space around the pool.Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property.

Beautiful Private Desert Resort

Our stay at Casa Hermosa was absolutely perfect. This property is like having your own private resort in the desert. Our kids, 3 years old and 1 year old absolutely loved the pool and back yard. We have stayed many times in Palm Desert and this is by far the best place we have stayed. There are 2 large master bedrooms at each end of the house giving lots of privacy for couples or families. The 1/2 acre yard is great for entertaining or activities. We spent almost all of our time around the pool or under the covered deck. The pictures on the site are great, but the house is actually better in person. Eric and Michelle had everything we needed for our stay. They brought a high chair and play pen which made our travel and stay much easier. The only items we needed to bring that were not in the house were clothes and groceries. Everything you could imagine or need for your stay was there. I would recommend this property to anyone and will certainly be returning.

Fantastic holiday home.

This is a terrific holiday home with lots of space for a family which offers all of the conveniences you can think of from household amenities, beautiful pool and lounging areas in the sun and shade, location to shopping, the list goes on and on...This home is very well maintained (in fact spotless) and was truly a pleasure for us during our stay. Casa Hermosa is perfection!

My family and I traveled to Palm Desert from Seattle and had the most wonderful vacation in Casa Hermosa. This rental home is absolute perfection! The owners have thought of everything to make guests feel relaxed and welcome, literally everything! The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and more! The pool area is a dream come true for adults and kids! We truly enjoyed every single thing about this house and will definitely be going back! We highly recommend this rental to anyone looking to enjoy some relaxation, it close to amazing restaurants and awesome shopping on El Paseo. Also short drive into Palm Springs as well!

Fantastic Accommodations!

Great pool/waterfall and patio area with lots of seating and covered area, well-equipped house (glass/plate/flatware, cooking utensils, BBQ, etc.), functional layout, top rate technology (Amazon Alexa, indoor and outdoors sounds system, dimmable lighting). Clean and secure. Responsive owner when a sprinkler line broke. One of the nicer vacation rental properties I've stayed at.

Believe the descriptions and reviews, this is a great find!

I don't often post reviews and do not have any connection the owners, etc. Last month, my family of four were making last minute plans to see family in Ranch Mirage and hastily searched for a house for the week. How often do you travel and find your accommodations exceed the photos and description? Casa Hermosa certainly did, which I find very rare! The property is in such good condition and is so well designed and furnished. If you read the description and think it sounds like a fit, you will not be disappointed. Beyond the condition of the houuse, the neighborhood and quiet, private nature of the property just added to the feeling that we had our own private resort, so peaceful for either cocktail hour or coffee by the pool in the morning. My wife and I jogged the neighborhood every morning and found the surroundings equally nice. Again, little traffic or noise, beautifully kept homes, many with the mid-century designs (character). A neighbor left out free grapefruit, which I picked up and enjoyed at the end of our runs. The owners were immediately available when I contacted them in planning the stay and while there. If you are concerned about features and details, simply read ahead or find the information perfectly laid out in the homes owners manual. If you don't like to concern yourself with details, you will find the house simple and intuitive. Everything is as promised, which, in total leaves you with a great feeling during your stay. We did not want to leave. Overall, if this place looks at all like a fit for you, I highly recommend it.

Great property! Attention to every detail to create a wonderful rental experience.

The house is beautiful, the beds and linens so comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, the pool gorgeous, the location central. All in all, a wonderful place to vacation. Eric has thoughtfully set up the house with automation, as explained in the thorough and professional house manual. The ONLY thing I wish this place had was a hot tub. Also, though no pets are allowed, the owner's had their cat in the house a while back, so if you are highly allergic, be aware.

Beautiful in every way!

Casa Hermosa is an exceptional "home away from home"! From the minute we arrived we enjoyed everything about this home. Location, design, gorgeous pool and yard, the house could not be more inviting! The whole backside of the house is basically windows and doors that fully slide wide open to create a great feeling of open space. Eric and Michelle have thought of everything you may need to enjoy spending time here with your family. The yard and pool are perfect to play volleyball, play catch with a football, or just relax and enjoy your time. The kids LOVE the waterfall in the pool, and enjoy having a den of their own when they want to hang by themselves. The kids are also forever entertained between the pool, yard, xbox, and selection of family night board games. The stereo system throughout the whole home is one of my favorites! The whole house is beautifully furnished and decorated inside and out, and the kitchen could not be more "fully" equipped, right down to different sets of dishes to enjoy dining outside, inside or entertaining a dinner party! Sitting outside in the evening by the gas fire was a nightly ritual and the few days that it actually got a little chilly we enjoyed the fireplace inside! This was our second stay and almost want to keep it a secret so it might be available again the next time we plan to go!! It is relaxing and comfortable from the minute you arrive which makes for a great vacation! I could go on and on about how I love this place but really I couldn't say enough about how great it is. Eric and Michelle are super easy to work with and always make sure they, or Joanna, is available to help or answer any questions you may have. Thanks for sharing your home with us..... we do plan to return again!

Amazing trip!

Casa Hermosa is one of the most beautiful, yet comfortable, places our family has ever stayed at. Everything was better than expected and the owners left us many special touches that put the icing on our stay! The kitchen can accommodate any party/celebration and the layout of the house is so well designed that no one feels like they're on top of one another. Our kids and their grandparents spent the entire 2 wks in the gorgeous pool and the location of the house was awesome for morning walks to El Paseo or a quick drive to the mall, Target or one of the many golf courses. My husband is quite a tech junkie so he enjoyed all the automated features (thank you to Eric for all the quick responses to questions!) that made this house run so effortlessly for guests! Thank you, once again, to these special people for sharing their absolutely beautiful home with us!

Five Star People and Property

Casa Hermosa is the ideal rental for anyone looking for a perfect vacation. We booked late but the process dealing with Eric and Michelle the owners was smooth. They had just the right blend of professionalism and flexibility that suited me especially taking into account the time difference with Scotland. When we arrived at the property the automated entry system is seamless and appeals to a tech junkie like me. Not having to remember keys every time I leave a house for a month was heaven. If you have enough interest to reach the stage of reading reviews you will have looked at the photographs of the house I would have to say they are a touch misleading as no photographer could ever do justice to this house. It is truly amazing better than it looks but you have to see it to believe me. That is the aesthetics but it is more than that. This house has every little gadget, utensil etc that a renter could ever want. From tape, to scissors to an automatic kitchen towel dispenser( retracts any excess pretty cool and less wasteful) The audio video system is state of the art even for someone really interested it took a bit of working out but Eric was always on the end of a phone to help. Even with his help I felt I only unlocked a small part of the system but the point of this house is not sitting indoors it is the fantastically beautiful outside space. Here again everything is catered for with misters, great pool, gorgeous plants and waterfalls. The waterfall is quite loud which truly is a First World problem and you know you are in a mega state of relaxation when this even crosses your mind. A word for the people Eric and Michelle have employed to ensure the smooth running Joanna, property manager, Joe pool man, Antonio the gardener and even the pest control company are top top quality. Decent hard working people, who were there as scheduled, unobtrusive and just did their jobs very well. You will be bored reading by now but two further things that are important to us. Safety and insects. Casa Hermosa passed both with flying colours. For a massive house we felt entirely secure and safe. On the bug front there was the minimum there could possibly be considering it is the desert in a hundred degrees. If you have a big family( or want a lot of space) you want luxury and have the money this house is soo perfect. Take yourself to Casa Hermosa punch in the code breathe out and relax. We did.

Mid-Century Perfection

Where do we start to convince potential renters to choose Casa Hernosa as their vacation home in Palm Desert? From watching the sun rise over the pool in the morning to enjoying the moon set while sitting around the outdoor fireplace, it was the perfect hide-away at the end of a neighborhood cul-de-sac. We were lucky enough to be their first renters and found Eric and Michelle's home wonderfully comfortable for two couples, each with a Master suite. The location is within walking distance to nature hikes as well as all the shops and restaurants along El Paseo. However, the unbelievably equipped kitchen and outdoor entertaining area became our favorite place to have our meals, Eric and Michelle were friendly and easy to contact if we had a question. On a scale of 1-10 we would give Casa Hermosa an "11"!

Our Canadian family moved to the desert in 2011 for a 3 year work assignment in the area. We fell in love with this vacation hot spot (355 days of sun per year!) and decided to buy a property our last year here, with a plan to use it as a vacation home thereafter. Unfortunately our busy lives up in Calgary will only allow us to take advantage of our new desert vacation home 4 – 6 weeks a year. The rest of the time we plan to make our family vacation home available for others to enjoy. Before experiencing the desert, we never imagined spending too much time here, let alone our hard earned vacation time. We were pleasantly surprised to find out how much this area has to offer for not only families on vacation, but also couples and friends' getaways. Palm Desert/Palm Springs is truly a gem of a place to visit and we look forward to returning because it's always an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Did we mention 355 days of sun/year?!!

Why they chose this property

We spent many months looking for our perfect vacation home. This home speaks 'vacation' the minute you enter it!! We wanted nothing less knowing we'd be returning to the long Calgary winters that wear us down and seem to have no end in sight. Our home is one of the largest and most private lots on this street of mainly local residents. It is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac which has gorgeous views of the mountains. The layout of this home is so very unique and special, with 2 separate King Master Suites at opposite ends of the home. There is also the spare room next to the one King Suite which is ideal for families with younger children. A den works as a 4th bedroom with a Queen pullout sofa bed. This layout is perfect for separate couples, families or grandparents wanting to spend time with their own children's family. It allows each to use their own 'wing' of the house. This is not the only advantage of the home - we can't forget about our amazing backyard oasis/patio area that wraps around the entire back of the house! Large sliding doors back onto the yard from almost every room! Lastly, we picked this property for its location and proximity to everything! Having spent 3 years in the area, Palm Desert is by far the best place to hang your hat! So....If you are looking for a true 'vacation home' to bask in the sun and frolic in the pool, this is the property for you - with over a half acre of property this home is a wonderful winter escape!
